I'm terrible at finding words for this kind of thing, but hang in their man, I know I'm a million miles away but just PM if you need anything...K?

BEEEYOOOOTAAAAY!
-
AWESOME BRIAN! I'm exactly the same way before a day fishing, toss and turn then screw it...I'm outta here....lol.
-
I think they are ugly, but they could not call them Ugly Stix as the name was taken. I also held a couple and they felt cheap and chunky and could not believe the price, If I am dropping serious dosh on a rod its gonna be a St.Croix or something similar.

LOL....I won an electric fillet knife last summer in the local bass tournament, gave it a workout, lol....gonna take some practice but probably quicker than the old fashioned way once I get the hang of it. LOL......I was kinda thinking the same thing, mind you it was a pretty small shark! No crappie there bro.....well you make up for it with the trout you catch! LOL....if they hating on me they are giving some other poor bugger a rest. Got an 'Antiguan Crappie' video in the works though

Hi all, A new buddy of mine took me to his crappie hot spot, great morning! Good company, +7C with sunshine and the fish were biting too. All fish in 16 to 17 FOW, very light bite. They were hitting plastics on small jigs but I have to say they liked my spoon tipped with a minnow head better than the plastics.

LOL...yeah it does feel like a defrosted chicken breast!

Hi all, got the chance to swim with the stingrays on holiday, what an awesome experience!
-
Hiya's, Finally went out night fishing this year while on holiday with mixed results, had a heavy rod with heavy braid and a wire leader, using chunks of fish from the mornings mini session as bait.
-
sounds like a bunch of old 'farts'.........lol

the Rex was not their the last time we went, hell....the airport was still on the drawing board. Part of the whole reagan thing was because of the international airport. Loads of Cuban workers started coming to the island, Reagan was convinced it was the start of a communist infiltration.

Thanks man, I love our trips out there! LOL....SIMON BE LIKE............ Feel the fear and do it anyway....lol. Yup, not much different gear than I use here, heavier line and leader though. The battery life on the new go pro is amazing compared to the Hero 4, the voice command is sketchy though and I lost a few good video clips of epic snook because of it. LOL...would you believe it, not a single avocado to be found in Antigua!

Yup really feisty! Interesting you mention tides, I should pay more attention to that when ocean fishing. When I lived in England and fished the ocean that was the main thing I would plan my trips around, second only to the wind. Thanks for the reminder, i will incorporate that into my equations next year! They are a ton of fun for sure, super cool to 'sight' fish them too....when you see one excelerate to smash your bait it gets your heart pumping! Secret spot #1! You too eh? I think that too, they even have the razor gill plate! Thanks man, just a head strap mount on the go pro and off you go....lol! no problemo Geoff, more to come from this trip, swimming with the stingrays was awesome too....video coming soon. I never did get to fish them at night this year, heard people use lights to attract bait. We swam with Rays this year, very cool experience and video is on the editing room table, learnt some cool stuff about them too. GIOTTA BE DONE BRUVVER! No problemo HH....more to come! WOW, my dad is from Grenada and we visited there many times. Here is a picture of me (holding up the fish) when we were staying at Grand Anse in about 1979. Probably would not recognize the place now. Shoot me a PM anytime for Antigua! Simon.

AWE SHUX! Nothing like fresh fish, i can't even be near store bought fish, it smells rotten to me now, but i'm spoiled. As for attacks, I would be more worried about sharks than cuda, there have been less than 25 positively identified attacks on humans by cuda in over 100 years. Almost worth a limb to see a nice shark....lol. My next video has a shark in it though.........

Hi all.....again....lol, So, for the last three years when we stay at my brother in- laws house I have been the caterer. I do all the shopping and cook a meal every night while we are there, I enjoy cooking and always throw in a few fresh fish suppers. The island's fishery has been hit hard by being pretty much raped by commercial fishing, and environmental factors so I practice catch and release for probably 95% of the fish I catch there, maybe more. But...I do keep some for the table, and this year was no exception. I headed back to the spot where I was getting snook but headed out of the mangroves and fished the rock/coral shores where the cove opens up to the basin just behind the reef that forms a barrier to the whole bay. I was targeting smaller fish such as Jacks and snapper that patrol these areas, did ok too! VIDEO Some of my creations

Welcome back, Igot the Escape with a consolelast year, solid little boat!
-
Not far, I know the spot well, one of my Antiguan hotspots.
-
Been fishing that spot for years, never had them stack up like that before. LOL...not to worry Bruce, I'm back freezing my cojones off with the rest of you now. Honduras and Costa Rica are on my bucket list! My pleasure!

Hi all, here is another instalment of my vacation fishing adventures. This time I'm wading the mangroves hammering snook. The Berkely Ripple Shads in pearl/pink were killer again this year and I went through 3 packets in a week. Does not help that the small barracuda had an annoying habit of just biting the paddle tails off rendering the bait pretty much useless! anyway.....enjoy!
-
Actually its Antigua, not Jamaica. Lol...no was not expecting to get one without a leader, but forgot the wire at the house that morning....DOH!
-
Your in luck! I did an extensive tackle and travel tips post the week before I left. http://ontariofishingcommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83700&do=findComment&comment=991217

I have and use the Ontario Backroad ,Mapbook chip, absolutely awesome detail for NWO, some of the bush trails on there are barely visible in real life, shows swamps and everything, I don't use or need anything else for land use, has no depth contours but all the lakes are accurately outlined down to puddle size ones, but you do have to zoom in quite a way to get the really small ones to show up.
