Great Meeting ya last night Mike... Steve, they put up a good fight... fish are still far and few inbetween though... last night there was atleast 9 anglers and Mike and Judy were the only ones that connected...

Got up there Saturday, set up camp and ate... after that went out on a paddle boat, note to self, Fat Man does not go in Paddle Boat... returned that and got a canoe, did some canoeing and then a little bit of fishing. couple of sunfish... not picture worthy... went back for dinner, ate then the rain started... woke up the next morning, to a grey sky, went for a hike thought about renting a boat, but Andrea was cold and didn't feel like sitting in an open boat the rest of the day, so we decided to pack it in and head home... weather wasn't looking too good anyways. left the park around 4, stopped by bass pro on the way home... Sorry to Dissappoint Brian, Info greatly appreciated though!!

Bummer Brian... Wish things worked out better for ya...

Gave her another go yesterday... pulled my line in and rebaited, cast out, was in the process of setting my baitrunner/alarm when line starts peeling out... found this fellow on the other end Paul/Fang went 1 for 3 Mine was caught using his top secret bait another gorup of 4 went 2 for 2 We brought the camp stove, Andrea/Whitefox/love of my life made Hamburgers and studied for her RN exam. Definitely a Great Day

That was plan B, but the weather didn't look to good... 40-60% chance of rain... still haven't seen a solid report coming from that area though...

What is a good spot to test the new / used boat
Uncle Buck replied to Fly Me In Scotty's topic in General Discussion
Bayfront Park in Hamilton... free launch... nice ramp, plus it's in the harbour, no need to worry about hitting bottom -
Tried a new fluorocarbon line, I don't like it!
Uncle Buck replied to Big Cliff's topic in General Discussion
Hey Cliff... Tackle tour did a comparison test on the flourocarbon lines, and the vanquish line performed very poorly... surprisingly the BPS flourocarbon fishing line did even better then the seaguar here is the link... Fluorocarbon test -
get the factory merc manual.. selocs are garbage... ebay will probably be your cheapest solution
-
pop on 20lb power pro and you should be pretty good for most anything... if the fish are finicky, slap on some flourcarbon to the end of the power pro Go Nuts!!

typically bigger baits catch bigger fish... but it all depends...

Carped the Harbour on Friday and Sunday... Hooked into this litte guy on Friday... First fish i've taken with the high tech carp set up...(pod, buzzer, baitrunner and hair rig...) Sunday morning i hooked up with Fang and we gave it another run... no luck - the cold front saturday didn't help at all
-
Brutal... WhiteFox calls me at 4pm and says lets go carping, picks me up at 5 and we are making our way to the harbour, to a grey sky as we are driving there it's turning darker and darker, then the rain starts - buckets pouring out, wipers on high were not enough We tried I'm so lucky to have her Love ya Babe!!
-
90% sure that my GF (Whitefox) and I will be heading up there as well... i was there back in 03 and it was a fun trip, great scenery!! We hooked into a bunch of pike

MY BOAT SANK! NEED HELP (update #3, May 9)
Uncle Buck replied to young_one's topic in General Discussion
Those boats are meant to take more HP then 150, hence bigger motor = heavier motor, i can't see the reason it sinking is cause you popped a kicker motor on it, and it's added weight is the reasoning why your boat sank... -
Has anyone been out carping it yet? or is the water still too cold? I'm thinking about giving it a go tonite...
-
This past saturday... May 5 as they saying goes, the pot calls the kettle black... also for clarification, it wasn't intended as an attack or critisicm, just curiosity... i rarely wear a pfd also... i do however early and late in the season, i always wear the float suit...
-
See that round ring around my stomach, oh wait that's something else... my float suit was in the bow,not that i would have had time to put it on god forbid something happened.. I'm terrible for the lifejacket thing though... think i've only worn it 3 times, i'm better with the float suit though... this time i brought it, i just didn't wear it, every other time, i would have worn it... Mark, the problem with being so big, is every fish i hold, looks small... Wayne, i've been promoted, now it's EDM & CNC and i haven't gotten a burning chip in the neck, i can't remember when... God i love the enclosure

Fished a little Salmon Tourney out of Port Weller on Saturday about 25 boats i believe. It was a tough fish that day, we hooked and boat only one fish. Popped the cherry on my wire dipsey though
