  3. Troll with some big baits. Stay well pout from the weed lines and aim for 16-20 fow. Try rocky points for walleye.
  4. That is a small price to pay (pain) for all her successes. My guess is they probably thought she would use a wheelchair to begin.
  5. Happy b-day o wise one.
  6. Bend over and cough. LMAO.
  7. Diltsy, That is a great video and I checked out a few others too. Life in Plastic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAlY5bLc4A4&feature=related is very well done. Great vid. You should all check it out. Ryan has mad skills.
  8. Way to go Jen. Take it slow, don't push too hard and full recovery will be yours.
  9. The 3 screen split is not available on the HDS5 unit. I am on the latest update though Art. I loved it for ice fishing with the portaable power pack. I can see my 1/4 jig hovering about 2 inches above the soft bottom.
  10. WAR lets go out in my boat and I'll show you my HDS unit. No DSI but I have it set up to see all the structure and fish. I have an old Lowrance X55 on the bow. It is a decent cheap old finder that is great for depth but that is all I use it for. I'll be upgrading it next year. I am looking for a used HDS8 or 10 for my consul so I can move the HDS5 to the bow and network them.
  11. O.K. then King...your boat kicks my 17' Starcrafts butt. We fish the mouth of the French River as well as well as Canoe pass and Gibralter Pass. This year may be a bit different for you as the surface temp is already 25 degrees. We are finding all our walleye in 35 - 45 fow even the 4" perch. Smallie bite still hasn't really started at that end of the lake. I'll keep an eye out for your Stanley.
  12. Why does the Lodge not have worms for sale? Call them and ask them to buy you 10 dozen or 1/2 flat and add it to your bill? My park which is www.glenrock.ca (5 minutes from where you are staying) sells worms @$2.50 / doz. How big is your boat? I can give you a few good spots near Iron Island. Remember the chartruse jigs with the stinger hook. PM me if you want specific info.
  13. Way to go Jen. Wayne and Leah, you two (and the rest of the family), deserve alot of the credit for Jen's success and resiliance. You have created a warrior and she is an inspiration to all of us. Hands down my "feel good" story of 2011.
  14. R.C. I checked a few weeks ago and there were none there. I know they used to sell worms but I couldn't even find the coller they were in this time. K.S. Best to pick them up before you leave or around Barrie, Orillia area. Cold worms will stay alive for a long time. Just bring a coooler and some ice. There is a bait shop in Sturgeon Falls called Chez Micheaud. It is on Nipissing St. beside the chip stand. It wont be open too late though. Where are you staying when you are up here? Did you rent a cottage or a camping spot? Dont forget to load up on chartruse jigs in 1/2 oz. and 5/8 oz. Best to have a stinger hook on them. Lots of places sell them and some local tackle guys have them. J.T. Tackle is one.
  15. Well....what is rthe story about the lost rod? Did you try and get it back? Good looking fish and a nicwe way to end the night.
  16. I dunk my wide brimmed hat in the water about every 30 minutes. I give it a quick wring to get the excess water out and then put it on. Feels great as the water drops run down your back.
  17. Now you have to edit your post Sinclair. Good catch Dana. Beautiful out with that bright moon eh?
  18. Hey we need to get out fishing together. I'll PM you.
  19. Did you keep the sheepshead? Looks like picture is in a basement. Nice looking walter and nice boat too.
  20. That's some good fishing. Nice video work as well.
  21. The upper french (mouth to Lake Nipissing) fish are only biting from mid morning to early afternoon. No late bite unless you stay out really late. Guys are coming out with there limits of walleye fishing 35-45 fow with a chartruse jig and worm or minnow. Make sure you have a stinger hook on the jig or you will miss 90% of the fish. Rememer the slot size is 42cm -60cm. Hope I didn't break any rules with this info.
  22. Knock, Knock, Knockin on Heaven's door.
