  1. If I am not mistaken my 175 EFI MERC has one. It's in the area of the starter. When I service my motor in the fall I spin it off and dump it out. It seems like there is nothing but gas in it though. Not sure if this does anything but it only takes a minute of extra time.
  2. Keep the dream alive, go back to sleep.
  3. Have you tried eating those? If not you don't know what your missing. As far as I am concerned they are better tasting than Walleye. Cook the same way as walleye and you have some real good eats there.
  4. A very good friend put his house on the market last summer as For Sale By Owner. He held open houses every sat and sun to no avail. People would make appt with him to view and then would not show up. Most of the people that came to his open houses were mostly interested in the contents of the house and not the house itself. Well after 3 mths of this he finally decided to get a Realtor to sell for him and it was a done deal in 2 weeks. Said something about the Realtor bringing only qualified buyers to view the home. He said the couple of verbal offers he did get were rediculously low by potential buyers who thought he had fallen on hard times or something.
  5. No nerve hit here Bill. Just wondering what kind of money do they make.
  6. Care to elaborate Bill. How much work does a Realtor do to sell a property.
  7. Pro Charger. Check en out.
  8. Just checking in guys and gals. Yesterday was my first day skiing at Whistler and all I can say is WOW. We ski'd the upper bowls all day yesterday and it was unreal. 70 km winds and snowing made for some crazy skiing. Visability was poor. A few times I had issues with vertigo but other then that it was an amazing experience, standing on top of the mountain at 7200 ft and looking down is pretty sic. The final run from the top back to Whistler Village took about an hour to get down because we all had spaghetti legs. Eight more days to go. If any of you guys like to ski,you really got to hit this place up. So far this year they have had 21 ft of snow. I did have a good wipe out yesterday but its very soft landing. Like swimming in a sea of dry rice and getting back up is tough. Tomorrow I am taking the Go Pro headcam out and hopefully get some cool footage. There is a few puter geeks with us and hopefully they will show me how to download so I can give you guys a taste of what were doing. Oh and the Apre at the end of the day is pretty cool as well. Cheers. Mike.
  9. I usually do about 10 dozen at a time. I just dump em in a large ziplock bag and add lots of coarse sea salt. After about 6 hours I drain off all the liquid and then add some more fresh salt to them and store in te fridge. The salt extracts any liquid from them so I like to pour it off then they dry out really nice. No rocket science here fellas, easier to make then a peanut butter sandwich. Been doing it this way for years, works good for big sucker minnows as well.
  10. I would take a run up there but I'm heading to Whistler the day before for a little apre. Maybe next year, sounds like it's going to be a good time.
  11. I will take 5 or 6 out of my rod locker and strap them to my front deck. My boat is only a 19 ft so all my rods are IM6 as I tend to step on them once in awhile or more. Positively no work boots in my boat unless its cold out. Soft soles only.
  12. Tough decision Mike, I would go for the Smoker myself. Like Bob said the family is growing, get the bigger boat, and you won't have to do this again in five yrs. The Smoker is a much dryer ride as well. If your going to moor it get a good custom cover made for it, don't cheap out there. Way more boat then the Prince. I vote Smokercraft. Fish.
  13. I have the same bearings on my bassboat trailer since new and that was in 96. A couple pumps with the grease gun twice a season and they are still working good. Most people with bearing buddies over fill them with grease and have grease all over the place. a couple pumps means two not 5 or 6. Just until the disc on the front starts to move and your good to go. I do jack the wheels every spring just to give em a spin and check the play. I went through the grease all over the place thingy as well and was told I was over filling the buddies, since then no issues.
  14. Never tried one, probably has its good and bad points. I always thought they were used by people with bad backs mostly.
  15. Way to go, a nice snack for your effort.
  16. It would be nice to look at it your way Misfish but I think that is wishful thinking. Why change the old system? Seems to be working okay. I think the change is to justify jobs and the Libs need money in a big way. I didn't hear anything about the province hiring more CO's or adding more money to fishing and hunting programs. All our money goes to the big purse and then the gov't doles it out to programs that fit their agenda and the rest goes to the MNR where all the money generated from fishing and hunting lisences should stay. Better grab your 3 year permit because it will probably go up again bigtime next year as well. Just my 2 cents.
  17. I got two new ties for Christmas. That puts me around ten I think. At 40 to 50 bucks a pop there nice gifts if you wear ties every day. The double windsor knot is my knot of choice.
  18. Just because I worked today, doesn't mean I'm gonna work tomorrow. A bad day on the water beats a good day at work...anyday.
  19. Wasn't hi nick name the Village Idiot when he played?.... Or was thats Ties handle.
  20. Exactly Terry.
  21. Thanks Garry. I forgot to mention in the original post that I plan to use a baitcaster set up for drop shotting. I prefer casting reels over spinning and this application might make the casting reel work better for ds by getting the line under the rod. I know most use a spinning reel but I have been using my baitcaster for dropshotting and have had no problems. I'm just thinking outside the box sort of. Thanks for the reply.
  22. I agree Capt, so this should apply for all types of fishing right? It originated on the west coast years ago. I'm thinking it would make a nice drop shot rod. Only one way to find out.
  23. Hey gang, I am going to build a few new rods this winter and was wondering if anyone has ever build a spiral wrap. I plan on building a new dropshot rod and was thinking maybe try a spiral wrap and see what it's like. I have never seen one, let alone used one. My plan is to build the lightest rod I can so I will be using a splitgrip with micro guides and possibly no fore grip. I think I am going to go with the Alps zirconian guides on a Rainshadow ISB 802.5 blank. I just have to figure what size guides to use especially the stripper and bumper guide. I have searched the net for pros and cons and cant really find any cons on a spiral wrap and they kinda look strange, which intrigues me. Any and all info from anyone who has built one or used one would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has a recipe for such a strange creation I would like to hear about it before I put my order in. Thanks Mike.
