  1. Scott....awesome for a days work! You always completely amaze me...I'm lucky if I even get one on in a day let alone landing double digits!!!
  2. Great fish there! I also was introduced to steelhead fishing the week of Christmas. I've been out as often as I can as well...sure is addicting isn't it?? LOL.
  3. You really do make me sick...you know that??? LOL Great job Scott! Bly and I are hoping to get out soon and have a report like yours! This is why you are the Chrome King....no one...and I mean no one is as consistent as you are out there.
  4. Hmm...dont know if I'd stay anywhere with the name plague in it....LOL... Oh wait...it's La Plage...sorry....
  5. I've had success with assorted crank baits for fall walleye...mind you I fish from shore. A few of the ones that worked well were Wallydivers - suspending model. I love my Jointed Shad Raps....#5 and #7...also suspending.

  8. With all the dog threads as of late, I thought I'd share this story...found it on citynews.ca (aka CP24). Pretty cool story! http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_9211.aspx Dog Saves Woman's Life With Heimlich Maneuver Wednesday March 28, 2007How smart is your dog? However clever your four legged friend may be, your pet likely can't hold a candle to a two year-old golden retriever named Toby. He lives with a woman named Debbie Parkhurt in the small town of Vert, Maryland. And what he did last week simply defies explanation. The 45-year-old owner was alone in her home eating an Apple on Friday when a piece of the fruit got lodged in her throat. She began to choke and tried to perform the Heimlich maneuver on herself. It didn't work. She then began beating on her chest in an attempt to dislodge the obstruction, but that failed, too. The jewelry designer was in danger of choking to death and didn't know how she'd get help in time. That's when her 'wunderdog' went to work. Toby suddenly came up to Parkhurst, got up on his hind legs, put his paws on her shoulders, pushed her to the ground and began jumping up and down on her chest. Incredibly, his efforts succeeded and the apple bit came out of the relieved woman's mouth, allowing her to breathe again. Most people aren't trained in the Heimlich procedure and Parkhurst has no idea how her dog knew what to do. "I literally have pawprint-shaped bruises on my chest," she told her local paper. "I'm still a little hoarse, but otherwise, I'm OK. "The doctor said I probably wouldn't be here without Toby. I keep looking at him and saying 'You're amazing.'" After his effort was over, Toby kept kissing his owner to make sure she didn't fall back into an unconscious state, allowing her to get up and call for help. It seems this pet went from Heimlich to dog lick. And it's one trick her amazed owner hopes he never has to repeat.
  9. We've found that a dropping barometer isn't the only indicator with where we fish. The best fishing has been when it's dropping and BELOW 102kPa. If the pressure is dropping and still over 102kPa, the bite is never on for us. For some reason, that's the magic pressure.
  10. Cool video! Thanks for sharing it!
  11. Nice looking fish! It's great to see people pulling them out of muddy waters...makes me want to head out even more!!!
  12. Looks nice, clean and well organized! Great job!
  13. Just checked back....SWEET pics!!!
  14. Hey Glenn Welcome to the best fishing board on the net! Looking forward to reading about your adventures with MTP!!
  15. Awesome stuff Scott! Wow...a few hours made a huge difference in visibility. I'm always amazed at your success!! Maybe I'll head out tonite and see what's biting....
  16. Way to go Steve! The conditions didn't sound optimal at all, but you still managed to catch some. I'll be trying my luck at some night time steelies on the tribs maybe tomorrow night...after they clear up a bit more. Awaiting your pics....
  17. Wow...sorry to hear about the damage Joey!! I think it's lucky that the boat wasn't in the water...the fact that they key turned may have been them trying to steel the thing and not accidental. Those @#$% things are pretty resourceful when they want to be.
  18. Great report! You sure are taking advantage of every possible minute on the ice and posting some great results!
  19. WOW!!!! Awesome report and unbelievable pics!! Those are some of the nicest eyes and pikes I've seen! Thanks for taking the time to report...wow...I just want to get out there fishing!!
  20. Plans look great! Good luck with it!
  21. Wow...fantastic report...great detail and the pics were aweome! It looked beautiful there...Congrats on the bonefish too...sounded like a great trip!
  22. We dont need to remember cause we've logged the conditions on those nights...hehe. Pressure is one indicator, but wind also was key. Even though we've caught them with no on-shore wind, we definitely like to see at least a chop on the water...that seems to be key for us as well. Thanks for your reply...very interesting responses from everyone.
  23. Thanks Bernie...the funny thing is, this thread was started back on Nov 21st...someone must have participated in the poll to bring it back... We kept track of all the conditions of the big Walleye we caught...so we have noticed some definite trends for our area. Cliff
  24. CC is right, but lots of bait stores carry cured loose roe...try Gagnon's in Oshawa...they had some cured trout roe the last time I was there.
  25. I'll let her know LOL...thanks for the tip btw....next time we'll just stick it out a little longer. Later bro!
