  1. Count bly and I in!! Need details on which shops are handing out the bags...thanks Scott.
  2. Here's an article...it shows both sides of the argument.... http://www.nationalreview.com/swan/swan060503.asp
  3. Congrats fishinonthebrain!!! You've been trying all day...you deserve this one!!
  4. Happy Birthday!!!! Hope you are having a great one...did you ask for fishing gear??? haha.
  5. Scott....well, I'm at a loss for words here. No matter what kind of conditions....choc milk, gin clear, you bring them in every time you go out! Awesome looking fish there! Xrap...I'd assume the waters were gin clear today....gonna get bad tomorrow I would think since the rain is supposed to continue until the afternoon....Friday may be ok with a bit of luck...I'm assuming Sat or Sun may be prime conditions again.
  6. Great post! Nice seeing the open water. It may have been cold, but at least the wind stayed calm for you. Some nice lakers there...thanks for the pics too!
  7. LOL...if he lands 8 then he's beaten my ENTIRE steelhead count in one outing. (I've been fishing for them since late December and have gone out probably 15 or so times since then and only landed 7). Then again...he has done 8 and more in the past.....haha.
  8. Can your dog swim? Does he like to jump off of docks? If he can swim and is a little wary of the water, then you're probably ok....they are not huge dogs.
  9. A flippin big lipped popper?
  10. Stop eating the trout roe....we need it to fish with...no wonder your breath smells like bait....LOL
  11. So...seeing as rain is in the forecast for the next few days...probably some blown tribs...you know he's out there right now... I'm guessing he goes.....4 for 6.....no wait.....5 for 7. Not bad for a few hours on the trib I'd say....haha.
  12. My answer is yes.
  13. Cant chat here at work....cant break thru the firewalls here...oh well...I suppose I should be...well....working?
  14. Love the song!!! Gotta love the speed and energy!! Alex...there have been a few nights when bly and I are out fishing and the action is slow that I started lyrics for a tune....who knows...maybe I'll get it done one day....haha. It'll have more of an "anticipation" feel, and not a complete rock out like this awesome tune!
  15. Welcome to the board!!! That "whatever else swims" thing...lemme know what lake and I'll make sure my dog isn't going for a dip...LOL This is the best fishing forum on the net...you'll have lots of chances to trade info, share your fishing results and even meet up with fellow OFNers. Looking forward to your first report! Cliff
  16. WOO HOO!!! Thanks TJ......PM sent!
  17. Gotta start somewhere.....LOL
  18. Beauty Steelies!!! Thanks for the pics!
  19. Awesome TJ! So are you going to be posting questions as in the past??
  20. LOL...love the part about fish not wanting to be in the same pic as you. Let me see if I can put it into perspective....I started trib fishing for steelies in late December. I've been out probably 20 times since then and only managed to bring in a total of about 8 fish total. Guys like CANADIAN COPPER do that in one day....LOL. I've had a few surface, look right at me and then slowly swim away too...talk about maddening!!!
  21. Welcome to the board! You've already noticed the calibre of people on here, so I wont get into that. Looking forward to your reports....and oh yeah...we like pics!
  22. Phew!! North of the 401 from London to GTA should get the wet snow...maybe 10cm or more. At least Toronto and areas surrounding should only get rain/wet snow mix with little or no accumulation. That's what they are saying now...this may change 50 times between now and when it's supposed to get here later today...LOL
  23. Hey there!! Welcome to the board! I too am a shore fisherman in the GTA. Big Cliff mentioned the Kawarthas...I frequent there often with my wife and kids (aged 15 and 5). Just find a boat launch with a little structure (dock or weed lined) and you can pull up pearch, some bass and sunfish all day long.
  24. Great to see some soft water reports coming in now! Nice haul there.
