Thanks everyone...wow...lots of great responses here! Truth is, I may ice fish 2 times this winter....this is more for fall fishing in our boat, where we will always have life jackets aboard and accessible. In order to outfit the both of us, we're looking at around $600. That's a more than we can swing right now. I figure if these will do for those days when it's -5C, then it'll be ideal for us. Hmmm...decisions decisions....LOL.

Thanks for your reply...I have been looking...I only found one that is local....and that one piece was used for $350. I'll keep looking though....this deal is 2 complete suits for $250....brand new...tags still on the items.

I have a line on a great deal....2 complete suits (Jackets and pants are separate), but I wanted some opinions here first, but they are not the classic Mustang float suits I see everyone else wearing. I have no idea what the main differences are between these and those one piece suits everyone has. One key difference I'm assuming is that the one piece suits are approved floatation devices, while the snowmobile ones are not....although they have video of how these will keep you afloat...designed so that the person is upright in the water so that getting out is easier. The price for two complete suits is well under $300 for the both of them...just wondered what ppl think of this.... Thanks!

Hmmm....hard to say....our vehicle is 10 years old, with 300,000 km on it...... Boat was 1300 bucks....2200 including the trailer.... I'd say the vehicle is worth more....

Wow Peter....thats a cool story!!! Congrats on the find....and research to see what it's worth....now...it may say 7-9000 pounds...but you gotta find someone willing to pay for it. Good luck!

I think Lew has a point. When I sleep more than 7 hours straight, I wake up feeling groggy and it takes me hours to get out of that funk...sometimes that entire next day I never shake that feeling. I seem to function best when I get around 6 to 6.5 hours at a time, get RIGHT into the shower and I feel ready for the day.

Restless leg syndrome....yep...both bly and I have that. And it REALLY sucks! It always flares up at bedtime and makes it impossible to fall asleep. Thankfully it has settled down for the both of us. I think exercise and diet have a lot to do with it. Bly had it really bad during her last pregnancy....sometimes going over 48 hours without any sleep. Unless it keeps you awake at night, it's probably not RLS...as that's when it's the worst. I was chronically fatigued for 18 months once. And it was chronic sinusitis that was the culprit. I didn't have the runny nose, or any symptoms like that...merely an inflammation of my sinuses that was causing headaches. Not really bad ones, but enough to make me feel like I was hit by a truck. I went to ear/nose/throat specialists, allergy specialists, naturopathy specialists, my GP, had xrays of my head, walk in clinics and none could help me. The problem was that when I was the most exhausted, the RLS would kick in at night. Then one day I was walking by a chiropractor....I never believed they worked, but I was desperate and went in. I had a 15 minutes interview on the spot and he said he thought he could help me. He took xrays of my neck and spine and my neck was in bad shape. We started sessions 3 times a week. AFter the first 2, there was no improvement....I was giving him 3 before I just stopped. After the 3rd adjustment, I felt a warm rush starting at the top of my head all the way down my body and my headache, sinus problems, and sleep issues went away instantly. Anyhow...that's my experience with chronic fatigue....and it was a horrible year and a half for me and my family. Hope things look up for you bud....dont discount chiropractic care even if you think you are ok....it never hurts to go and talk to them.

Oh man....I get sooo jealous when I see these reports! Someone recently started a thread about where in the world would you like to fish if money was no object....and one of my choices was BC for sturgeon fishing. Amazing report and pictures....must be such a rush to land one of those beasts!!!

Ahhh....a little fishing, a nice pike and blood....great combo!!!

There's a little fishing pond in a local conservation area around my place that was stocked with small rainbows this past spring. It's also home a few largies, assorted sunfish and bullhead. By mid summer, the waters were so warm that the trout were all dying...it was a sad sight to see!

You did an awesome job (as seen in those pics). They really were in a quandry and I remembered your ad in the members business directory, so I contacted you. One thing to check out as well is used motors that do not work....you can sometimes get them really cheap....if one has a working trim and tilt, then you may get yourself a bargain! If you could find your own motor, then you'd have spare parts as well.
