  1. sigalon F.... I been using that line for years. That stopped last week when my main line broke like 5 times. I don't know if the line was bad / old or if i left it out on the sun to much? no idea and not going to guess. I even pulled out descent amount of mainline and tied back every thing but still... Never had that issue before. Now I'm going to try sigalon v 10lb with 6lb tippet.
  2. Looks like a brown at 1st but... I have not seen a brown with a sharp cut nose like that. Almost a angle on top of the nose. Most brown male should have a orange color. But since this one is little odd... So did a sort little search. Guess what? It's not a brown. http://www.miramichisalmon.net/fishing.html Image from that site. "Fall Atlantic salmon are far different in appearance than the summer salmon as they are a little darker, having red and orange spots." I hope there were no "Atlantic salmon" that was keep by people that thought it was a brown. Edit: Nice that you chought a Atlantic salmon... but to bad about the keeping part. The moral of the story... If you don't know what it is, don't kill it?
  3. Nice tuna! But why are you hugging the fish? I would have my hands around the girls!
  4. very nice fish! I can't wait to go out! I am feeling the rush, thanks for the pics!
  5. I wonder if that muskie survived after that... Won't be surprised if the trout got stuck.
  6. Virus, DO NOT GO TO THAT LINK! DO NOT GO TO THAT LINK! Virus edit : nvm the link is gone
  7. I'm self-professed steelhead noob! And I catch few steelhead when the other experts catch 10+! I don't mind the others telling me what to use or do. I think that ego is the biggest down fall of all fisherman. That and marriage.

    Steelhead

Thank you! Can't wait to go out again! Waiting for snow and more water!
  9. Sorry, I vote pike! No hard feelings I hope! Since I'm right! <joke btw>
  10. Not just with a steels few other fish will see the net and will give a good run. If the fish didn't care for the net we woundn't care if the net guy tried to net the tail 1st. Edit: but I'm sure if the fish would be spooked by the net, it would be spooked by the guy with the net too...
  11. Same. What do you do with it? other then eating and giveing it to other? I have yet took a brown. (seen alot) BTW> I was told that if the egg are lose you can kinda milk a small bit out and the trout will live. And then again few other people told me that is wrong and bit my head off saying that it will kill it, and I should (if eggs are needed take the fish alltogetter) keep it... Can some one tell me what is right? I don't like to take a brown home, sorry I really don't like to kill or clean + eat them.
  12. I won't mine a net like that. Then again I'm to lazy to carry a net... so, nvm. Would be neat to know if that net will make a difference in spooking the fish or not.
  13. Pictures of few steels I got few weeks ago. Been doing good... Not as good as last year but still good. I guess it's time war. Some times I find a good hole with few right in there but due to the lack of water + gin clear water, they will not bite unless I fish really early.
  14. Pike eating a brown trout. Very cool, kinda reminds me of river X. I was told some people kill any pike they catch there due to the number of brown they eat. Not a good thing to kill them... I guess that was not taken in Canada is it? England?
  15. Wow nice brown! I see a few hiding below the banks, very hard to get the fly drift to them. Tried every thing to get them bite. No luck yet. Maybe when there are more water.
