  1. Not sure about the license thing and buying equipment, but you raise some good points there. I'd expect the "gift" part of purchases would hurt sales....ie....people buying gifts for anglers and they themselves don't fish or have a license. I see some merit in live bait though. You did your part in explaining to them about the regs and licenses....the store employee should have as well!!
  2. Thanks for the reminder Roy.....I'll have the guy who designed our tourney logo reduce the size.....as we were all linking to it.

  7. Wow...could that get any more complicated??? LOL I'll have to have my lawyer consult me on whether or not to ask for price matching.....
  8. You look all ready!!! Just don't forget your net Have a great time...good luck and stay safe!
  9. I've worked in retail before, so I know about the wide range of experience employees have. Glad to hear you had a good experience!!! The difference when I worked in retail and didn't know the answer was that I went and got someone who did.
  10. To tell you the truth, I have no expectations when I go there. That way I cant be disappointed. I have not had to buy anything major there, but when I did go to look at fishfinder/GPS combos and asked the guy behind the counter what the major differences were between Lowrance and Eagle, his comment was that Lowrance was more expensive. Well, I could see that because of the PRICE SIGNS on them. Thanks bud. I ended up having to search the web to get all my answers...stuff he should have known. It's not like it was busy there either....he was helping one guy...waited patiently for 10 minutes...he came over to me, gave me his non-answer and then walked away. I was astounded....but not terribly surprised after the fact. I ended up buying a unit that they BPS carried at Radioworld. Better service, better price.
  11. Well that was implied....LOL...just not sure where yet...
  12. Darn it....people helped out here....I was going to say they are now junk and I'll come pick them up from you to take them to the special wader dump near my place.
  13. LOL...there's no stopping you now... Nice fish! My pleasure to help out....I had to ask when I first joined the board as well!

  16. Hey there splashhopper, copy the line in photobucket under your thumbnail pic that has the square brackets and IMG inside it and paste it in your post. THe pics will show up and no need to click a link. PM me if you are having issues and I'll help you out.
  17. Not me...I have a computer at work...cell phone that has internet connection to check email, but I never do. Work pays for phone calls, but not internet use..and I'm too cheap to shell out the extra money.
  18. Bly, my youngest and I will be hitting Sturgeon on Friday....spend all day there and then dinner at Big Cliff's place! We'll be looking for crappie and walleye. Practicing for a gig my band has in June on Saturday morning...then off to visit mom on Saturday. Sunday and Monday are wide open at this point...not sure what to do.
  19. Great report and pic! I tell ya, carp are fun if you don't have a boat and only a few hours to fish at a time. They put up a nice fight and can be very challenging to land...especially on an ultralight setup.
  20. LOL...just do your business down by the river behind your yard....oh yeah...and bring your fishing rod with you....

  23. Way to go! Nice first pike of the season for you. Come on...be honest...you didn't submit it because you caught it in 2006....LOL. Perfect day to be out there...good for you for leaving work early!
  24. I just make little squeaky noises like Bruce Lee and they back off.... Seriously though, maybe I'm lucky where I shore fish...I meet up with LOTS of people and I have never felt threatened....in fact, most are down right friendly....and we end up chatting for quite a while.
  25. Great report Victor!! Cherish these times with your dad....I lost my dad in my mid 20's...and I wish that I could fish with him again...I rest comfortably though, knowing that he catching monsters up there in the sky....and something tells me that the fish are never out of season.
