  1. LOL NO deal with you and your brother Relic drivin that jet boat.
  2. All depends who did the glass work. You can give 100 guys the parts to build in alum and it will always be the same weight. Fiberglass built by historic (chop gun) you'll have a 100 different boat weights in Glass. Someone doing it right by the infusion process (that not many, if any, boat builders use) it will be close each time. With smaller stuff even by that process, to get a minimum workable thickness, it will still weight at least 60 to 70 % more than alum. Once you get into bigger stuff it can be made comparable in weight to alum.
  3. Good to see you out Bud! ...and with some food for the table to boot.
  4. Nice Dutch and congrats. You may find the one you are buying has never had a final inspection. No deck and no false/safety rails on the upper patio doors are why I say that. A good building inspector would have made them put a false rail outside those upper doors before issuing a move in permit. And what Don said....when's the party!
  5. As in Lake Temagami's Whitefish Bay?
  6. Fabulous stuff Phil...glad to see you had a great time with Connie and Adam and Sandy.

  17. Big Pike was not caught in Rainy Lake....it's from the Netherlands. Picture is also in the in-fisherman or esox angler mag for their article about fishing there. The other one of the pike eatin the pike has been around for MANY years. As for the Sturgeon....that's the biggest piece of tail I've ever had my hands on.....
  18. Thought I'd help you out before the picture police started on ya!
  19. Thanks Chris...like you say this is my boat for the next 20 years. Couldn't afford the depreciation hit to do another one.... And Tom..that's exactly why I put up the "how to" pictures. Thought others could learn from them, for when the time comes to do their own set up. Just found the issue with the electric brake lock out solenoid for backing up (SUPPOSED to dump pressure so brakes don't come on in reverse)...Shoreland didn't bother to ground the trailer frame and expected the chains/hitch etc to compete the circuit to the brake solenoid. Guess now that they are using LED's and taking the ground wire right into the sealed units someone forgot about the brake solenoid needing a ground wire. Amazing just how much juice can come out of 12V thru a wound solenoid when you jumper to your bumper with a bare wire to get ground. Sent me back 5 feet...just like a good drag car ignition coil would.
  20. Surprised they haven't changed their name from Styx to Logs by now... They've got that age thing goin on like all of us. And who'd a thought...TJ at the peelers...NAW couldn't be...
