  1. That would have some Legend Perch Baits in stock? Gotta a feeling I'm gonna have some time to kill on Saturday morning while I wait for #3 child to dismantle her Architecture pavilon on the Rideau River.

  4. I'm lucky I have the rail there on my Lund. I leave the lower u-clamp just loose enough that I can wiggle it back to where the rail goes down to the gunnel so my trailering cover fits over it without even touching the ball.
  5. I just made my own with 2 u-clamp mounted balls and a universal Ram joiner. Wouldn't be without it considering my unit is 70 inches long!
  6. Good fishing behind Walmart.........
  7. We'll see Lew... we'll see. Depending on weather and whether the Midland ramp is frozen yet?
  8. Buckster... just sell me your sled trailer at a decent price and buy a covered one.
  9. Like all my downrigger rods/planner rods... 30 lb Power Pro and a rod length of mono as the shock absorber.
  10. Ya got that right Jed ! I've still got my 26" RCA in the basement that I bought so I could watch Bugs Bunny in colour in 1982 ! Still has a perfect picture. As to a good shop Peter.. sorry can't help you with that anymore. Know a good guy for the older stuff.. but not the new stuff.
  11. No need to leave it plugged in Rob and would be a hazard to do so if your boat is covered. Plug it in every two months or so for the day to top them. I added an extension cord to mine to get the cord out from under the cover where I can easily plug it in when I desire to do so. I leave my batteries in and hooked up. Just make sure all your connections are absolutely clean and everything is turned off. Be certain that you have nothing in the boat the pulls any load (like a clock or electronic device) that would kill a battery while the boat sits unused. A battery that gets drained absolutely flat can sometimes be hard to get to polarize and charge again.
  12. Something you spray other fishermen with when they get too close to your spot! Seriously... A wonderful tool to get the laker blood off your carpets before it dries. High pressure pump and 20 feet of hose is what I installed in mine. Also use it to clean the scum line off the hull thru the season. The unit was my main concern originally for winterizing as it's pump chamber and intake screen area don't appear to drain on their own...let alone the 20 feet of hose.
  13. I think we had the same pissing match... I mean thread last fall Gerritt! LOL
  14. Ahhh.. YES http://tchester.org/sgm/lists/lion_attacks_nonca.html http://users.frii.com/mytymyk/lions/attacks3.htm Google it.. there's report after report.
  15. Cougars are stalking hunters. Yes they did the right thing... peoples safety comes before animals in my books. Otherwise we'd all belong to the P3ta nonsense.
  16. I suspect it's too heavy to lift... so loosen off the winch cable/strap.. tie the boat to a tree or similar.. pull forward so the boat comes off the back of the trailer a couple feet and place a couple big blocks/logs under the transom. Then pull forward somemore so the boat tips down onto the blocks and continue to pull forward and place a block under the keel about where the nose just starts to taper in. Pull trailer the rest of the way out. Load in opposite fashion. Did this with a 26' Searay/full cabin every fall and spring for 15 years.
  17. Not a lot of of them "leafy" trees up there Stan. We have a fair amount of paper birch, poplars and a few hand planted maples on our island, but it's mostly stuff with needles up there (making good firewood hard to come by). The real colour of the forest is from about HWY 124 South.
  18. Could it be water temps?? They are higher than last year at this time.
  19. With any lake I don't know... I'd start with a #5 Mepps (or similar) bucktail/spinner. Black/Red... black/purple..
  20. Great family Mike and none of them have your eyes ! At least not the last time I saw you anyhow....hemorrhaging from Dawg's houch!
  21. There will be lots of family fun in that boat I'm sure UF! Congrats!!
  22. Still got that spare I told you about Joe.. still in the original unopened box! LOL I was a good boy and had my camera in it's "turtle shell" most of the summer!
