NO snow that I saw Dave ! Kristal had to come home for her BF's grandmother's funeral. I'd planned to fly her back to Ottawa.. but Mother Nature had other ideas. Now I have to go back for her in two weeks or so for her summer off to work... maybe this time thru I'd better stop and visit my mother before I'm disowned!

Left at 10:30am and we wuz running behind going to Ottawa (thanks to daughter that had a lightbulb go off in Peterborough while sitting in A&W realizing she hadn't renewed her drivers licence and it was her birthday, so we did that in the 'boro)..... and then I was trying to make Kaladar for some nice squeeky cheese curds before 9pm coming back. Made it at 8:55 and it was my supper for the trip home by 1am! So NOPE.. no pictures ! lol

..for anyone that drives #7 or lives in the area. A few more days and the ice will be gone. Open right by the park into the stream and starting to let go at shore around the picnic area. Was gonna ice fish it on my way thru.. both ways.. yesterday, but I'll buy a fish first before walking on that ! I fished it last year on March 26th and the ice was 33" thick !!

Based on your age DSN... they micro chipped you at birth without your parents knowing it... so get used to it !

I pull my Lund Baron (not light!) all the time in OD with my little 4.6 (less than 300cuin) Triton that's in my F150. As others said tach (or ear) is important. Before grades be sure to tap the pedal and get it kicked down a gear.. BEFORE the grade! Makes a 1/4 tank difference in a 4 hour trip vs leaving it in Drive... truck has 100K on it now with no indications of hurt.

LOL Blaque... I look at it this way. "I" broke it... it's my problem. Rod will be just fine a tad shorter with a new tip... why go without it and why spend the money to send it in. (wait 'till you break it in the middle! LOL) I did the "Bill Dance" with a car door to my 6'6" Berkley lightning rod in 1983... and I still fish with it 26 years later @ 3" shorter. Then there's the Spiel special Musky rod....that thanks to a low steel bridge, or a high boat, is 1.5" shorter. Neither anybodies fault but my own...even though I could have returned one to LeBarons in '83 and received a new Lightning Rod and last year Spiel could have got me a new Loomis blank.

They probably just took Sunday off.....

For sure John... I think the one at the back door is 10 years old or more..has some cement blocks holding it upright.. burner has flames coming from places it shouldn't.. but cooks fine if you know where to place the meat! lol I'd rather spend the money on fishing gear and boat accessories... but to each their own! lol

I don't know... I put grill marks and cook steaks just fine on my dilapitated.. run over by my youngest daughter (with the Sierra) $99 CTC special propane BBQ. I think the fancy mega BBQ's do nothing but impress the neighbours (and drain your bank account)... but since my closest is 1800 feet away.. I'll stick with old faithfull !
