Coyote grabs Pomeranian in Pickering area.
irishfield replied to fishinfool's topic in General Discussion
From a guy that has had rabbies shots twice in his lifetime, me, that isn't normal behaviour for a healthy fox! They will definitely hunt food.. usually squirrels/chipmunks/moles... but if they aren't scared of you chances are it's rabbid ! MInd you.. that said... my neighbour at the lake now has a red fox coming to the door and eating scraps out of his hand. I told him he's nuts doing so..and it's going to be a problem when his cat goes missing.. but he won't listen. -
Hey... just remember you've always got a younger brother that can fetch your walker for you Joe....

Happy Birthday Joe !!!

You might wanna check the size of a Canadian whitetail ...to the US mid state whitetails you have specs for there John! The fawns in my back yard are +32" to the shoulder.. 3 to 4 year Does over 4 feet. Marty's little 5 point buck was probably 54" to the shoulder... unless they consider something different as the "shoulder" than I do.

Most I can find.. "Posted April 14, 2009 Lowrance HDS Water Intrusion Navico is aware that some Lowrance HDS units have experienced water intrusion. This problem is limited to a small number of initial production units and has been fixed. The likelihood of an HDS unit from an early production build experiencing this defect is very low; however, customers with HDS products that exhibit water intrusion will be allowed to replace the HDS product free of charge. If you experience this issue: Contact Lowrance customer service at 1-800-324-1356. Select Customer service, then Lowrance or Eagle Products, then HDS, then select option 1. Navico will provide a pre-paid return label to the customer to cover the return shipment cost. Upon receipt of the defective unit, Navico will ship out the return unit the next business day. "

That's a little wider than a car topper.. ours is 47/48"... but the F-in-laws old 12' 1967 Springbok was a little wider.. and he flipped it pretty easily with an 8HP on it and took a beating from the prop. If you have a picture of what you bought.. it would help in the HP debate. What's it placarded for.. I bet 10HP.
-
Before folks start suggesting how weeds can flip the thing and cut his leg off with the prop... is this a 12' cartopper Weeds?? If so.. with a 4 foot beam.. an 8HP is easy enough to flip it and my father-in-law has the 14 " scar in his leg to prove it. I have a 9.8 Merc for ours at the lake... made sure everyone driving it knew it was a straight line only machine at any throttle setting above idle. I have a 5 Honda on it now.. good for one person... plows with two and gear. 9.9 max if you have a car topper and be cautious of even thinking of a tight turn. If it s a 12 Deep V with a wider beam.. then you may get away with a 15..

That's probably good anyway Terry... or you'll get like I got with a 2 million serial number less 102C that as you know appears to have issues! That now I'm out of warrantee on ...

Won't "fly" here in Canada.. because he has his wings long enough that it will get out of ground effect.. but you can build a true ground effect vehicle with short stubby wings and register it as a boat in Canada.. no pilot licence required. Have a buddy over Orillia way that is building one from scratch... since he lost his medical for his pilots licence. For those that don't know what "ground effect" is.... an airplane will fly slower than it's stall speed within 1/3rd of the length of it's wings. So about 10 feet off the ground in most cases. So a ground effect vehicle is built with just enough wing and thrust to lift it into this range without being able to truely fly off into the sunset.
