Yep.. Diamond stocked and open all year for Lakers... Baptiste is only open for Lakers 3rd Sat in May to Sept 30th. Elephant is not listed in the exceptions.. so guess it's open Jan1 to Sept 30 for Lakers.

Nobody seems interested enough to respond to the actual fishing reports anymore. As far as I'm concerned, bass should be open all year everywhere in Ontario. Few eat them anyhow.. can't see it denting the population.

Thanks everyone for the comments! Always a fun trip, fish or not, with these nuts. It's taken 6 winters.. but I think I/we have STARTED to figure this lake out!!

In an older model... it could also be that the points have worn down and and or warped out of shape. Replacement with a newer model often helps in situations such as this....

They were introduced to control Porqupines (sp). They'll chase the buggers all the way up a tree.. out to the tip of a limb until they fall out of the tree and then run back down the tree to the stunned pork on the ground and zip it's belly open... eating it from the inside out. My Step father has issues with them attacking his cattle herd. They'll naw the legs of the cow to get it to fall down. He thought he was losing the odd calf to 'yotes.. but he's pretty sure now it was fishers that knocked them down first. That one on the pool was a fair size.. consider that's a 24' wide pool end.
