  1. Heading home... why didn't you move for Whities?? Great stuff Brad !
  2. Great stuff Ryan.. she's a treasure for sure!!
  3. Some more shots from Dano's camera. He sure loves the trail up to my camp from the water.. makes a great shot in the winter for sure! This year he didn't even have to shovel it! lol BTW.. those neopren gloves are useless for holding onto a Laker!!
  4. Zone 11 is open until the 3rd Sunday in March. Temagami Shores has their huts out close to one of our favourite spots. Suspect they're pulling up lakers/whities and 'eyes.. depending on the time of day. Motel style accoms, or cabins.. and they drive you out to the huts each day (or you could drive out yourself if you have a truck). Tell them the nut job, with the green and white airplane parked across from their docks, sent ya... www.temagamishores.com
  5. Spincasts all the way. These monsters haven't tangled one up inside yet.. and they've sure tried!
  6. I only need them for distance Tom!
  7. Nice Tom !! Great to see you out and about and having fun in the GWN !!
  8. Looks like Rod Stewart's stage outfit.. circa 1976 !! lol. Glad you found what you wanted Kevin!
  9. I didn't take any offense to anything you said. It's pretty clear that in years previous they didn't care about regs either with you stating So they ate some and were still 3 fish over the limit... what was the possession limit last year. I don't think anywhere near that many fish.. Of course there's poachers in my area. I don't fish with then.. nor would I consider them friends... and I wouldn' t bite my tongue if I had full knowledge of their SOP !
  10. Thanks Bowslayer.. will see what Glen comes up with tomorrow and let you know! This is the exact cover... it's $18US from Jiffy + shipping of course. Like I said earlier.. my auger rack is specific to the fit of the OEM jiffy cap.
  11. love my 70lb wireless on my 22 foot lund. It will pull the boat at up to 4.3mph.. or move it so slow you barely know it's moving. Great to silently troll for lakers at 1.7mph... running it from the back casting deck on the foot pedal or key fob from anywhere in the boat!
  12. If it's what I can bring home that has me deciding what/where and how to fish a certain lake... I'd be a couch potato! Sorry, but that's the way it is. As for the poacher that 462 points out.. you can thank them for your slot situation. I'm sure they did the same thing last year.. and the year before as well. It has nothing to do with the current regs...
  13. SORRY.. I was trying to be polite when I told them I followed your sled/hut tracks!!
  14. Great shootin Doug!!! I saw Hamilton fly by in his Champ.. but very disappointed I didnt't see Brent Anderson's Rebel. I helped Brent thru the build on that machine from 1993 to 1997.
  15. One drop in your eyes will blind you as well....
  16. You know Joey.. If I hadn't already unloaded the sled and hut.. and took the trailer off and parked it.. I might be game, but with it all put away, I think I'll hit the shop and get some work done tomorrow! Not sure what Terry's issue is though... he caught his only fish while fishing blind !!!
  17. 9" Jiffy Lightning. It's a full round cover with a flange on it around the outside edge. The flange holds my auger tight in place! Thanks Glen!
  18. Well... Terry does have a thumb left...
  19. Yep.. like troutboy says. Popper flies. I like to do so off my dock some early mornings and evenings just after sunset. Good casting practice and fun when the smallies come shooting out of the water to boot. Get some laughs from the locals and PPark patrons trolling body baits past my place... but it's them that's missing out.. not me!
  20. Thanks Andy... lost about 8:45 to 9am... it was gone 10 minutes later!
  21. Bill my airplane will stay up.. and I'd go through stepping out off the ski! It's all pounds per square foot fella. My skis have a total surface area of over 18 square feet. 1600 lbs or so/18 is only 89lb/sq foot. Me stepping out on the ice is about 200 lbs per square foot! Trucks weight 4 to 5 times what most small airplanes do! My buddy use to carry an 8 lb axe in the airplane on a rope. He'd land and then throw it out to see how thick the ice was before getting out! I was saying they were gamblers because of the rutts and humps out there. Anyone of them could clean the landing gear right off the airplane..
  22. Nope.. didn't see anyone land out where we were. A few buzz jobs.. but no landings. Anyone landing South of Kempenfelt is a gambler in that crap... ! !
  23. I gotta thank TJ and friends for putting OFC together... I've said it before and I'll say it again.. if you aren't using this board to meet new life long friends.. you're missing out!!!
  24. Lost between Innisifil Beach and Kempenfelt Bay. Someone picked it up before I followed my tracks all the way back to the beach..... hoping it was an OFC'r. I 'd like it back as my auger rack is cut to fit it and not sure how I'll do finding an identical replacement. Reward will make it worth your while.. especially since less than 5% probably have a 9" auger that it would fit on anyhow! THANKS!!!!
  25. YEP.. expensive day for sure!!! Would we do it again.. in a heart beat! lol Strike one.. Ran over my glasses with the sled in the parking lot. Strike two... lost my blade cover somewhere out there and went back to look for it .. but it appears that someone grabbed it quick for me so that they could return it pronto.. well one can hope! (haven't lost this thing in well over a 1000 miles of running and bushwacking.. can't beleive it disappeared today) Lunch destroyed... got set up.. opened the cooler bag and found that my Mr. Noodles were already opened for me.. the Chief BoyRD can had already opened a water bottle for me and the soup was ready in the bottom of the bag!! Fish finders buggered up... other stuff missing or broken but hell ya.. we had a GREAT day. Joey and Paul Don't you dare lose it hun.. Beautiful Stocker. and the happy angler.. They still can't believe I followed their sled/hut tracks from the North side of Kempenfelt.. way down to Snake Island. Hell.. I can't believe it myself... but I did.. right to Terry's whitie on the ice!
