  1. Doug, I posted that and then remembered I know a gal that was in my high school homeroom in the '70's that lives in Rideau Ferry so I looked her up and gave her a ring and she says yes at the Yacht Club boat launch.....not sure when he's coming or if he really wants to drive on the lake to go fishing on the deeper side but guys are fishing right out in front of the yacht Club beach all the time. If they run into problems call us at.....we are at the end of that road inside the park. Give us a name just in case. She wants to know when you plan this and your name in case you call... I've sent you a PM with her phone # and you can give me your full name there so I can pass it on. Wayne
  2. Wish I could help Doug, haven't been to the Ferry in 40 years.
  3. Easy enough and a few spots, including my point of land on the lake, that are close enough to the town launch that two trips wouldn't be a big deal. One site is even close enough you can slip over to the PPark and use the showers on the sly....
  4. Hit Temagami Glen and just camp on one of the hundreds of Crown camp sites around the lake!
  5. Make sure you pack your banjo ! My Mother was born in 1926 and raised on Glamour Lake. My 3 cousins now own that West shore from inlet dam to outlet dam. You'd find yourself driving to Haliburton or Minden for groceries I suspect...
  6. HOK dealer is in Orillia Dan. Let me know if you need contact information and I'll look through my files. Paint was about $760/gallon + reducer + Klear, etc... There's about $6500 in base sealer/paint/klear on my car, but it's painted underneath as well...
  7. I wanted solvent... so instead of B5 did my Bee with House of Kolors HOK403 Dan. It changes colours like a chameleon. Will be so nice to have her out of paint jail !!!
  8. Thanks Glen! Same to you and yours...
  9. The only way you're going to get an update of Temagami is to map it yourself. Last time it was surveyed was probably 1903 with two drunks in a row boat with 200 feet of rope and a rock. They found three common depths and drew a 140' depth circle, too bad they missed the 8 FOW tower in the center of the circle. You can drive your boat along shore on GPS and it'll show you're 100' in the bush on the South side and can't get to shore on the screen on the North ! BTW, if you need to use a cell it will work standing on the "Bell Beavers" lodge at the bottom of the portage into Browns Lake from Ferguson Bay. Even my flip phone will work there...
  10. Yes it was Bri, my Sister lived in the apartment building on Church St.. across from the school.
  11. Who does, the MTO on a vehicle or are you talking boat? Boat PCL are free, if they are charging to change your address sell the boat to your Wife for a dollar and register it again at the new address for free...
  12. I forgot that everyone's Son isn't an IT guy....
  13. What Joe is saying is... use an alias....
  14. Water access on Kipawa Mark. http://wildernessadventurelodge.com/ It's owned by the Sister of a local guy that taught me to fly and the Brother of one of my airplane customers, Dave and Julie Morin. I've only been in and out by air, taking Dave's Brother in for a visit, but looked like a nice place. Pricing seems reasonable and in your range..
  15. To 92KPH by 6pm. As long a we don't get the devastation the mid states got last night/this morning I'm good. Well over a 100 dead from Kentucky to Illinois. One of the Tornados stayed on the ground for 255 miles !
  16. Come'on Paul, your Wife doesn't read this. We all know you have a US mailing address....
  17. '64 Dodge 440 actually. Originally a 361 car, push button automatic. Currently has a 440 in it and haven't decided if I'm gonna finish the clone job with the cross ram intake and dual 4 barrels, but I'd negotiated the price and said I'd think about it and come back if I wanted them. While I was strapping the back of the car down in the trailer I saw feet and then an intake plopped down in front of the car. Wife had gone back in and negotiated some more and paid for it ($3500). I think she's trying to tell me something...since I sold her '64 Vette on her a couple years back!
  18. VERY Nice Dan! Makes the ownership even more important. I was about 3.5 years into the Bee's restoration when Kristal said "will it be done in time to drive me out to the alter in September? You and Mom got married in the car in '82, so it must have some good luck" ! Her and Eight bridesmaids delivered.
  19. LOL OI, I've never walked home in my life and been driving one of them for most of it (and riding it in my entire life). Have fun !
  20. And I was just sitting here watching it piss down rain and snow thinking... I bet that Brian guy is out there in that mess!
  21. They're just keeping an eye out for GBFisher....
