  1. Lower unit oil change is in order after the first 20 hours as well.. 2 stroke or 4 stroke.. again checking for "metal" in the drain bucket or signs of water from improperly installed/seated seals. Spark plugs out for a look to see it's burning correctly and enjoy.
  2. That'll be a crowded boat no matter how you look at it. No big issue running 5 lines.. I've done 8 out of my boat without any trouble, while using only two downriggers (and the planner mast of course). Can't help yah either Nick.. I'll be sitting in Sinai that week.
  3. Don't know what they're gonna see on a 2 stroke... but on a four stroke demand that they cut the oil filter open.. and then open the filter pleats and hand search for "metal". If they don't know what you're talking about, find a new mechanic. Now if that BRP is an Etech.. so much for the bragging about no service before 300 hours!
  4. Don't imagine they were there in 1825 ! lol Sorry Woodsman for the highjack... that's the deal with a lot of new technology. Statistics of usage can make them some hefty $'s.
  5. Maybe they hit the train tracks!
  6. No good fishing that close bud... keep going for another 9 hours or so, but take an auger!
  7. Hey... my great great great grandfather had no trouble finding the gulf of St. Lawrence. Unfortunately he drowned poling a barge across Rice Lake, before ever seeing his settlement plot. Lucky the oldest boy was 16..
  8. Opinicon's a fun lake to fish.
  9. Some nice fishing there fella! Unfortunately we can't target them yet in Zone 11 thanks to a no science reg change. Can't fish for a fall spawner in the spring.. go figure!
  10. I always thought that first picture was Buster 25 years ago !!
  11. Don't let GBFisher launch or load you if you've used that stuff... lol
  12. Welcome aboard !!! Did you bring any 3X or Bountiful with you to share???
  13. I'm gonna rig a generator up to the propellor of the Verado Phil... so while I use the electric trolling motor, the verado prop will turn and run the generator, so that the power available to the TM will be perpetual !
  14. could tell her the guy that issues permits is off on holidays for 3 weeks... ..or just get off thy ass and make her happy bud!
  15. LOL Martin... I'm sure if I ever get there it will be $1.90 when I arrive!
  16. Call your outfitter.. nobody will know better than him or what his plans are. He may be out there in a boat breaking ice !! Lakeland, in Temagami, has their Beaver at his Mother's dock in inlet bay as of Monday, but still can't get it into the bay next door to their outfitting dock, nor is there any open water in the area to land on. He would have flown it out of Omar's at Azilda(Sudbury).. so there's open water over there.
  17. Not looking for symphathy Mike.. figuring my boat won't make it to the lake this year anyhow! I guess there's a good side to that now...
  18. Temagami marine has sold only Premium fuel as long as I've been on the lake. Adding "ethanol free" helps comfort those with sticker shock!
  19. Ya can say that again Ben ! Mind you, I'm surprised Andre' has it that cheap considering Premium at the pumps in North Bay is $1.54/litre. So at $1.65 it's at the dock and guaranteed free of ethanol.
  20. Ice is off Inlet Bay at the marina... but main lake is still ice covered and it will be a good few days before lake travel is possible on Temagami.
  21. Burts, Traxtech and Canon all appear to only go to 6". Looking like http://www.trojantackle.ca/index.htm might be your commercial option.
