  1. MAC Book Pro.. our younger daughter would most likely suggest throwing it in the garbage before it lets you down right before a big assignment is almost completed or an exam the next morning!
  2. We're charged tax bringing anything into Canada ! If you are bringing it across yourself, you can deduct the personal exemption amount for the length of trip and you'll pay tax on the remaining value.
  3. Not sure Gord.. so dehydrated after our walk our fingers are swollen and we can't make fists smaller than a pint glass! Baitcast.. for burning baits.. large baits etc. Spinning reel.. for everything else!
  4. Thats an adjective of the noun.. correct?
  5. It lifted in a sheet Albert.. one swipe with my hand and it fell off! 4600km
  6. I think you may have water in your lower unit oil bud !
  7. Nice Wayne ! Maybe you did crack that other boat...
  8. Sleep is over rated... just ask me !
  9. I got it all on video Hun! She's gonna have all their jaws hitting the floor before she's done! Other bonus we got last week, Jen's Oncol threw Leah's CT disk into his computer for a gander and is making connections for her as well.
  10. Peter's been stalking Paul for a long time Hun ! Nice fish on a scorcher of a day!
  11. With a rolled up blanket under her knee she can lift her lower leg off the bed.... not bad for someone now missing a pelvic bone!
  12. Good old arc welder and a cast rod as Brian states. Even a normal steel rod with the polarity set backwards will do in a bind. Just be prepared for the consequences if it blows thru.. or slag/splatter goes inside the system and in the case of me welding my dozer exhaust that = enough crap to hold a valve open and have the push rod jump the rockers socket. Got lucky it didn't get hit by the piston. As Bernie points out... if it's cracked chances are there isn't much left to weld due to internal erosion and external rust. On my 6 month old F150 I already brushed the first layer of baked off casting from the manifolds!
  13. Like it says above the sink at the lake "It's always 5 o'clock here" !
  14. Best ending to a video I've ever seen !! Lloyd... Lloyd who, "marriage" has sure put him out of the lime light...
  15. Terry must be gettin close to taking up golf.... bringing back up 3.5 year old posts!!!
  16. The page has definitely turned, but I think (after 7+ months) the hard part is about to begin Drew. Possibly 6 weeks of bed rest, possibly 3 months of wheel chair and then walker/crutches and trying to put weight on the now unattached (mechanically) leg. Hopefully it all goes quicker, but it's gonna be a long haul for all of us and especially Jennifer. No more in for a week and then home for two. Just stuck in there all together, as are we. She's still got a positive attitude and I hope she can hang on to it throughout the process.
  17. Thanks folks. Got her to eat the first solid food today after 3.5 days without. One chicken finger, but it's a start. Not sure the fear is eating...it's what the by product is and the fact she is bed ridden flat on her back and can't move with an epideral still in her spine..
  18. Terry's always involved in some scandal.....
  19. Sorry Bunk.. I've been in a phone booth changing clothes for a few days... WOW... what a trip!
  20. Jewel of the day today.. Oncologist coming in just to tickle her toes ! Says to her "so when do you want me to schedule your next chemo" and Jen says "NEVER". He says "that works for me"!
  21. Been pulling trailers regularily since I was 17 years old... 32 years now. I have/had boat trailers, enclosed trailers, a triple axle 9 ton x 34 foot float that's been almost coast to coast that I've been pulling to haul cars and airplane recovery since 1989. I have NEVER blown a tire.. NEVER blown a bearing. All 6 tires on the big float are still original even. It's called preventative maintenance guys... go buy a digital tire pressure gauge and be faithful with it! (now I've jinxed myself.... )
  22. Roy is absolutely correct. When it comes to political or municipal issues. A petition, with a million names on it, counts as ONE supporting document. A million seperate letters submitted and signed by a million different individuals.. counts as a million supporting documents!
  23. Hitches made for specific vehicles generally go on in minutes. They are made with existing factory frame rail holes in mind and the nuts are on long tangs that get feed from the next hole up. Slip.. slap.. air ratchet.. quick connect on the existing wiring harness that tees in and you're off to the boat launch.
