I know the difference between the 2.One spawns twice and the other once.My question is, Is there any proof that steelhead actually go back to saltwater after spawning?For instance, For lake O tribes, up the st lawerence and out to the atlantic.I know that the bows go back to the lake until the next cycle.Has there been any proof that they go back to saltwater, and return, at all?

MY favorite recipe when camping. 1. A good hot fire pit. 2. A fillet of choice freshly caught. 3. depending on the size of the fillet,dice it up in cubes,about 1/2 -1/4"cubes,I prefer pickerel 4. 1 can of cream of brocoli or whatever of your choice as long its its cream of something 5. slowly cook the cubed fillets and cream of brocoli/califlour over the hot coals to desired richness 6. Eat till your hearts content. We did this in Bruce National Park with a fresh 12lb pickerel I caught 1/2hr before.We were hungary and only brought up canned food to make it easier for use.Man that was some awesome meal. The turtle recipe is surely a dinger.I may try it out one day to freek out my kids . BTW in most contest,arent family and employees excluded?

Have you thought about bobcaygen.You can fish off the dam and rent a cabin close to town.There is plenty to keep the kids occupied.As long as if you enough icecream money.

There is a resort there?My cousin told me it was a private lake and no public access.Her husbands family has a cottage there for years and knows everyone!Ive even drove around to find a safe area to park and no luck.Whats the name of the resort?, I would love to take my 2 girls there.

I was out on sunday and I was warned about some huge hole that was cut by someone.And not a fisherman.A local in the area told me that some idiots did this for a joke.Mind you I didnt see the hole first hand but I figured Id pass it along to you guys who plan on fishing the area just in case.With these warm temps it may be very dangerous at the 15 to 25 fow areas.In the boat ramp area this morning it looked fine to me.But dont qoute me on it.Just an FWI and what I was warned about by the locals on sunday.For Gods sake be careful out there.

Are you bringing a gas auger or a hand auger?A folding chair cover or 2 should work .I have a jack wolfskin pack and never stained it.A gas auger, you can seperate the power head with an allan key,and a manual there is no need,its light.Heres an idea, 2 old skiis and rig up a sled.My otter2 sled is on skiis,and im glad I did it.2 sleds in one.

After watching the hockey game last night, I was redirected to the womens Bobsledding comp. Unfriggen beleivable.I thought the German had it untill they wiped out.Their is surely alot of talent in our nation.I would like to add some thing, but I will wait for T J to start.

Mine is, How'd you make out?and, I hoisted a HAWG and backs done for another! Please be polite because Im sure it will get out of hand.

If you have a decent back pack, at the bottom or at the sides, you should have some extra straps .Thats what I used.And some extra protection over the auger blades, just in case.
