  1. There are tons of pike in that river. In caledonia esp, guys keep taking home the little guys which makes it hard on them to get to a decent size ,as Ive seen years back in plentifull numbers. On thing I will say, there are some decent sized ones in there, I relaesed a 30 incher not long ago.
  2. This what went through all the trollers on saturday He could of went around everyone of us out there. This is a true
  3. Im not sure if this make you feel any better but here goes. I bought a boat 3 seasons ago knowing this issues and at a good price. The engine was shot, no problem at all. I wanted to rebuild it any way. So I did, a total rebuild. Everything was perfect on 2 outings, the third I had to be towed in I found out my cam gear went. Keep in mind I had a merc dealer press on the new gear to the new cam. Ok so I pulled the engine and fixed it( gear was pressed on by the same people),and again this time on the 5/6 outing it went on me Except I was 10 to 13 miles away from a port. Thank god I bought a kicker. As Ive shown everyone, I did pull the cam out again, went back to pick up the gear and have it pressed on, so they did. As I walked out the door, one of the techs stopped me and wanted to see the cam shaft, fine. He noticed the thrust washer was missing. Now Im fuming mad, he did add one at no charge, and a repress at no charge. Now since I pulled the gear out with the engine in the boat, I have oil leaks to deal with. My engine is coming back out in the fall to repair the leaks. Thank goodness all the labour was done by me
  4. and happy to you paul
  5. Sponge bob square pants lives in the hood How do you think I get my info
  6. just for you bud, head due east, when you see water continue on about 10 miles. Turn for due north and aim towards the cn tower. Keep your speed at 40mph, when the boat hits shoreline your there There are plenty of fish there to catch
  7. just wait and see my friend
  8. I finally have to do it, thanks to all with their generosity/ experience as to catching chromies. So in return I will give you my honey holes that produce fish. Good luck and enjoy
  9. Im going to inquire the hwpd about that, one for the stern and ond for the windsheild
  10. Actually it was the same officer that took the info as last time. And on a monday as well Their just doing their job and kudos to them I have a little something for them to see very soon Involves a rich guy, a huge cabin cruiser and putting us guys in danger in some sort. While we were trolling
  11. Yes in my boat, 4 adults and teen on board. Passed with flying colours A quick on the spot inspection of my vessel. He was to the point, and friendly as well So to them, esp while they held back untill my lines were brought up They are no different than you or I, and a friendly stufft chat does help

  17. Thanks, geeze now im embarrassed to post day 1 and 2 outings. If thats a shacker, i have a few shrimps and and fries to add
  18. Your right, it has been a shacker fest out there, even at the surface. Fun to watch and a nice show indeed.
  19. You do mean shackers, right? If not I will give you two bloody noses on the house
  20. I find the socks take up valuable space thats needed.Being a newbie to this trolling thing, I find the green hd bags tough enough, esp for a buck a bag.And the metro plastic ones will tear easily and still work.
  21. Perhaps I just got lucky 3 times Keep in mind they were shacker dinks in a huge bait ball. And yes adjustments to hieght and speed will/can make a difference for sure.
  22. I have been toying around to slow my troll down a tad and its worked. This is what I have found so far. I have used the plastic eco bags from the barn etc, they do work but they will rip easily. Ok so I seen the bags at homedepot and gave one a shot today Tough as nails so far for a buck No need to cut holes at all, it worked well On a better note it worked best a foot out and a foot in from the stern Better than 80$ a pop.
  23. The first one today was dragged around, Then second one even smaller and tripped the line as soon as I hit the switch to the bikini department it was game on My speed was consistant all day.
  24. Charge your batteries up, load them and leave them alone for a day or two. They should be 12.6 v max, and see what they are at afterwards. ps message sent Simon
