  1. I have a few of these guys in my box. Some cool lures. Great action on some of them. Although I've never caught anything on them. I got them from Bills Bait and Tackle on Upper James in Hamilton.
  2. Tried a senko the other day with a couple of my buddies. Never tried one before this one happened to be bright pink and I was slammin them, throwing them out there and letting it drop would always get slammed before I hit the bottom, only problem I noticed with them is they get destroyed fast, and for 9 bucks a pack, that kind of sucks!
  3. How many worms are in a "flat" of worms?
  4. Hey guys, plan to take the boat out to Mountsberg conservation in the greater hamilton area, I have an electric trolling motor, and as well as a 30 horse gas motor on the back, I'm just wondering if we could launch the boat on the lake, but keep the gas motor tilted up and put a bag on it? Any info would be great.
  5. Also the cabin is on Hoof Lake.
  6. Hello all, Sunday night I'm off for a short drive from Hamilton up to Thunder Bay, the town of Oliver Paipoonge. My aunt and uncle live up there and my parents will be flying up. I really am not a fan of flying so. I'm driving. Anyone from the area? I'd like to hook up with someone and get some fishing done. Or at least some guidance as to where to catch some fish. Won't have a boat until we get to the cabin so mostly from shore the first few days.
  7. Was at Cyprus Lake last August with my girlfriend, I left my gear at home because I heard that without a boat you won't get much catching done. A beautiful park, a very very beautiful piece of the world up there. The hiking is top notch. Watch out for rattle snakes. The water in Cyprus is erie, I went for a dip a couple times and it's like a desert lake, it seems as if nothing is living in the water, not a lot of plant life etc. We ventured into Tobermory a few times, we stopped for some fire wood at a house along the road and my god, I swore I was in the movie Deliverence. That creeped me out too. Anyway fishing or no fishing, you will have a great time. The grotto is cool, but always packed with people, and the water is freezing!
  8. Oh, funny story goes with this as well. So as you know this was my first walleye, so I grabbed him by lip like a bass. Ouch! Hey dad! These guys have teeth!?
  9. Hey guys, I don't post here much, but I read the forums a lot. Anyway I just wanted to share a picture of the first walleye of my life that I caught today. We were out trolling on the grand river today the bite wasn't too hot it's always fun catching the cats out of there my friend Jay caught a 19 pounder and of course we forgot the net, the bugger was tough to get in the boat, and when we finally did he crapped all over the carpet haha. Count for the day is 3 cats for the boat, a big sheepshead and 2 walleyes caught by yours truly. Also want to add that the Conservation officers were out on the boat, they checked out licenses, checked out what we had in the livewells, and even gave us a couple tips. Good to see them out there checking everyone out! Thanks for reading guys.
  10. Would you remember your PFD and helmet after a case of beer and 1, 2, or 3 grams of the old nose candy? Haha.
  11. Threw this one in for kicks, just to see the response, "[email protected]" They will probably say contact your local politician but hey worth a try.
  12. Hey guys this is my cousin Marvin's blog, I'm sure some of you have heard about it, it's been everywhere, well I'm just posting this up, maybe he can get a few more readers, and I figured you guys would get a kick out of it. http://durhamregion.typepad.com/simplyput/2010/04/a-new-candidate-for-clarington.html Thanks! Charles.
  13. I'm thinking the Powerdrive V2 bowmount 55lb thrust. It comes with a mail in rebate for a free co-pilot fob.
  14. Thanks for the info guys. Heres the down and dirty; $800 to spend 16' Starcraft Aluminum Want a bow mount Want a fob 55lb thrust 12 volt prefer Minnkota
  15. My first ever catch was a 7lb sheephead down at the fishermans pier in Hamilton, boy was I happy! Now I try not to bring it up haha.
  16. What model motor guide are you running? The fob sounds really nice. What size boat?
  17. Hey guys, This question may have been asked before. Looking to throw a bow mount trolling motor on the boat. It's a 16' Starcraft Aluminum. What should I be looking for? Mostly fishing conservation areas, erie near dunnvile, hamilton harbour, smaller bodies of water, maybe the odd trip to the kawarthas. So motor guide or minnkota, what are the pros and cons of each, I'm thinking 55lb thrust. Thanks in advance guys, and gals. Edit: Also electric steering or mechanical cable?
  18. Hey guys I was just wondering about bringing my boat on the conservation areas. They don't allow gas motors. But you are allowed electric motors so I was wondering if anyone knows if you can bring your boat on the water and not run your gas motor? Thanks in advance guys.
  19. Hey guys, looking for a walleye guide, for a half day or full day for the walleye opening week in and round that time frame probably 3 or 4 guys any recommendations? Anyone on here that does it? What kinda prices am i looking at?
