the one day that i have time to go fishing in the yak , and the weather dosent co-operate

hit the creek on saturday morning around 5:30am for an hour of fishing. this time using pink worms, managed to catch half a dozen small residential trout, then my drag started screaming. was surprised that these guys are still hanging around. they looked pretty beat up. probably caught a few times by fellow OFC steelheaders. nice way to spend an hour on saturday morning

did a bit of trout fishing this past weekend, and caught a few small trout on some pink trout worms. then i realized that i had none left after i snagged my last hook on a tree. went to the nearest store, and they didnt have any pink worms (which were working great). so i bought berkley trout dough. went back to my spot, and only managed to hook up with one more trout. has anyone ever used this trout dough before? whats the best way to use it? i was fishing a small stream, so i just had it drifting on the bottom with some small split shot.

the areas that come to mind are frenchmans bay, and whitby harbour. ive also seen someone catch a small hammerhandle at mclaughlin bay. theres probably pike in bowmanville harbour too. basically any lake O harbour near the dirty shwa that holds some green weeds should also be holding some pike. good luck!

i've had my knee scoped 3 times for the same problem. you can walk on it the same day, just a little tender. a week later you should be able to start doing light exercise to strengthen the muscles surrounding the knee. the sooner you start doing physio or strengthening to it, the faster you'll recover. lots of ice helps alot too.

i think co's target shore fisherman more as they are more accessible. since i started fishing out of a canoe or kayak 4 years ago, ive never been stopped. prior to that, i've been checked 4 times by both co's and police.

that place is the Lynde Shores Conservation Area. supposedly holds carp and pike. i see people fishing there in the summer all the time.

OHHHH! now i know what that guy on the fishing show was ranting about. i forgot his name, but he's that fat guy who always has a shore lunch.

am i the only one who goes to walmart or no frills and buys the cheapest sh1t available? i've been feeding my dog Ole'Roy and the no name one at No Frills for the last 9+ years. So far so good. Dog is lean, has lots of energy, and has a nice looking coat. I giver her table scraps too.

why don't you try the dirty shwa creek since you live there?

no worries, i just went to dollarama and purchased a bunch of wallets that i keep empty at all times. goin to HD tonight
