I have an Asus AC87 and it's fantastic - I live in a townhouse and no issues at all, previous one kept disconnecting and the Asus has that. I run up to 6 mobile devices plus a couple of laptops on it.

Rugby was awesome, two golds for Canada and I'd say it was top flight level play and a great value day out (apart from the beer but that was my choice ) Woodenboater - I guess it's because sevens is a lot less physical than 15s (quick scrums, no real rucks/mauls), I think all teams played 3 or 4 x 15 minute games yesterday so the whole "tournament" is over a weekend. Sevens is also a lot more crowd friendly as it's end-to-end. Like Cast-Away, I took transit for free. Maybe the detractors should actually go before knocking it?

Going to the rugby on Sunday afternoon at BMO for $35 a ticket, not really "crazy expensive" Most of the arenas are pretty small meaning there's no such thing as bad seats for most events and no need to go for the pricey options

There's lots on Bronte too Chris The town seem to control it in the parks but not outside It's not too bad in summer when it's fully grown, being so big you can see it and avoid, but this time of year it's the same height as everything else so accidental contact is harder to avoid

I try to see the take, say the word "trout" and then strike, easier said than done sometimes though

Great vid! New Zealand is just below Alaska on "the list" for me - I have some friends down there too

Assuming you're going for trout/steelhead here...... Take a look at the rigging pictures here - http://www.raventackle.com/shotting_patterns.php There is no set ideal depth, it depends on the depth of the water you're fishing but as a general rule, you want the bait near the bottom but don't fish too over depth. If you're running braid, you need a fluorocarbon/mono leader as a minimum so the fish don't see it and you'd be better off with a shot line which holds the float and the shot as well so you don't tangle up as much or just use mono as your main line, much easier to use. One more thing - if you're snagging the bottom at 18 inches, you're probably fishing in the wrong place, with clear water and bright sunlight the fish are very unlikely to hold in water that deep.

I keep telling my golf buddies I'm going to do that - I'll keep it with my ball retriever

Replacing Rear Wheel Hub on 2009 Civic-NF
cuzza replied to LostAnotherOne's topic in General Discussion
You shouldn't need disconnect the brake line from the caliper, I don't have my Civic ay more but from memory assuming it's the same setup (mine was an 08 Si) this is how to remove the rear disk..... Remove the two bolts that hold the caliper to the bracket Lift caliper out, there is a section of flex hose that will allow it move about a little, support the caliper out of the way, I usually hang it using a piece of wire or a wire coat-hanger Remove the pads Unbolt the caliper bracket from the hub carrier (two bolts) Remove the two retaining screws from the disk (these can be fun to remove, an impact driver is useful if they're rusted in) Remove the disk - might need a tap from a hammer, just tapping around the disk will normally free it, try to resist using the sledge unless you really have to With any luck you can replace the bolt where it came from and tightening the lug nuts up will snug it back in place. -

Looks like a great find! I've had good results with 00000 grade wire wool (or whatever the finest is) used gently and a Dremel with a felt pad and polishing compound - that was on a cane rod with a similar steel reel seat. The handle itself looks fine and I think you'd struggle to improve the blank much without completely refinishing it - looks like glass fibre and they're not meant to be perfectly smooth anyway

Dave, thanks so much for taking the time to put that together for me, I've just spent the last hour looking at the sites and they all look great. Seems like there is a sweet spot for timing the runs so they overlap so we need to get ourselves sorted out. Mike - thanks for the link to Naknek as well, seems like they offer guided or non guided and seems like great value so it's on the list. Outlaw - the budget includes a new camera so will be sure to put something together Thanks again fellas, I'll let you know what we end up going with

Hi Mike, We came up with the budget based on looking at a few lodges last year and has to include flights as well as the weakened dollar, my buddy is in the US so doesn't have that problem :-/ From what I understand when the Kings are running so are the chum and pinks so we were hoping we'd have a few more bases covered this way. I would love to get a big king on a fly rod as well Russia would be amazing, have read some great write-ups on the Kola peninsula on the other side. Just googgled Kamchatka and it look incredible too!

Wow - thanks Dave, that'd be awesome!

Hi Dave, I was hoping you'd chime in - the budget is $7-10k per person

Morning all, I'm starting to plan a trip to Alaska for next year with a friend - we'll both be fly fishing and hopefully will time it for when the Kings are running. I know quite a few guys on here have travelled a bit and I'm hoping to get some lodge/river system recommendations, we're hoping to find somewhere that can give us options for locations to fish (and hopefully different species as well) as well as the means to get us there rather than staying and fishing in one location for the whole week unless that turns out to be the right thing to do. We understand this isn't necessarily the cheapest way to do things but that's OK, this will be a "once in a lifetime" type trip for us for my 40th and my friends 50th. So, any recommendations for locations or even online resources would be very welcome. Thanks, Richard

I've used Good Neighbor Garage in Bronte (the gas station just west of Bronte Creek on Lakeshore) and have nothing but good things to say about them

Thanks Simon - looking forward to it! Richard

I have a pair of GVs which are aluminium framed with a vinyl sheet and the plastic ratchet straps and they are great, I have a similar system on my snowboard bindings and they take much more load with no issues. You can get spare "tongues" if you need them but the trick is not to over-tighten them so they slip. My wife has Tubbs which are also good but they're a harder plastic type - Sail has great deals as someone already said, I also saw some in Costco last week, no idea if they're any good though.
-
They'll probably both be fine - buy a length of black pvc drain pipe and a couple blue test caps and cut the pipe to the right length for the rod, should ensure it doesn't get damaged in transit

For the testers, a simple non disclosure agreement should cover you and you can find standard ones online where you fill in the blanks about whatever the item in question is. It's easy to get wrapped up in this sort of thing, so make sure you run the idea past some friends who will tell you if you're wasting your time and not just tell you what you want to hear. If it's one of those toilet seats Terry mentioned, I'm in for three as well!
