  1. my doc recently retired, didn't have any suggestionns for new doctor but told me HE is responsible for those documents for a period of 15 years and if i dont transfer them he has to store them. after signing a release they were transfered to my new doctor for a fee of 25.00. there were no copying fees as there was no copying, the originals were transfered. i was also given about four months notice prior to his closing. it seems your records were sent once to another doctor without your consent???
  2. if its just you riding around, as previously mentioned, these giant machines start to suffer from their weight and size. trail and snow riding on a fourtraz 250 is a blasdt, get on some big 700 and it wont fit anywhere. there is a time and a place for each machine but i wouldn't over size for no reason. a honda 400 has served us well for years,
  3. some further 407 info from the bill of sale. notice the part about rate increases and clawbacks for slowmoving traffic (cause its great to pay for stopped highways). Safety The province will ensure the continued safety in the operation, construction and maintenance of Highway 407. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will continue to provide traffic patrol and traffic law enforcement on Highway 407, and the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) will enforce compliance with provincial safety standards, as it does on all other provincial highways. The new owner will pay for OPP and MTO enforcement services on a cost-recovery basis. Tolls The agreement includes an innovative toll-rate mechanism aimed at relieving traffic congestion on existing major routes. The province will have the ability to claw back toll revenues if pre-set traffic levels on Highway 407 are not met. Tolls can be adjusted by two per cent per year plus inflation for the first 15 years, and thereafter, by inflation only. This would mean that tolls could increase by about three cents per kilometre over the first 15 years. Financial penalties will be imposed on the consortium if both the tolls are increased in excess of the specified limits and specified traffic levels are not met.
  4. not standing up for the 407 lets be clear! bunch of crooks however.... the 407 pays huge fees to the opp to patrol the highway, taxpayers make money on it. more huge fees paid to the mot for collection/extortion, taxpayers dont pay for it. my experience with the change of address - just because you changed your plate with the mot doesn't mean you have changed your plate with the 407, they are seperate entities. the 407 said that i had to change my address with them as they only check the plate once and after that it is your problem to update your account info. kind of reasonable but the obvious question to ask them is why do they charge the "plate fee" each time you use the highway. if they are not checking the plate against the mot records, why are you charged for this service? so making this argument that they had charged me to 'run' the plate - which would have provided my new address - but had not actually done it, all interest charges and fees were dropped, just had to pay the bill for use. again - not standing up for the asshats at the 407. good luck to you in your battle with a faceless soulless corporation that has us by the short hairs for about 90 more years. ps might want to see how much of the highway belongs to the teachers pension fund....
  5. ive done better this summer for smallmouth than last. ive always heard leeches were the best but i find the usual gulp minnows or white twister tails work ok. hate to admit it but a worm on a jig head works great. ive been drift fishing the channels and doing ok. fish the flats and shallows with white spinnerbaits tipped with yellow or white rubber.
  6. a company in milton (cerka) makes all kinds of trailers under the EZ label. belwive they have one called the bush buggy, a little pricey but a lot of ground clearance and pretty tough.
  7. i had an 870 security/entry gun put 1000's of rounds thru it in drill and competition tons of higher tech options out there but this thing never let me down. nice choice at any price.
  8. i have 3 sedonas and 4 stradics, i dont run braids on my spinning reels anynmore but this isue only came up when too much line was on the spool. i never have this problem with 7 reels getting regularly fished. seems like the answer is out there. good luck
  9. i beleive your 'membership' in the do not call list must be renewed every so often.
  10. your standard windows media player is a good enough program to burn mp3 files. there are some sites you might want to look at like morpheus and linewire that are fairly strightforward download sites. are you in a hurry - you could pm me some requests and i could build a few for you. i play some older kids tunes like peter paul and mary and it burns some time. i have about 400gigs of music with a pretty big kids section. on another note a little childrens gravol in the chocolate milk can help the trip go smoothly.
  11. ive seen bear repellent sold in just about every gun shop ive been in. google a product called 'thundercloud' - a fire extinguisher sized jet of maximum strength capsicum out of a standard aeresol can. no idea where to get it unfortunately. you could also consider hanging out with some guys that dont run as fast as you can
  12. the name eludes me but remember a post about a fly im just outside of sudbury, an awesome walleye lake that was only about 5-6 hours. it was a great post that looked like it should have come from way further up north. less of a drive but you could invite some local OFC'ers to your cottage for some fall bass and smoked meats....
  13. cut hooks or release it into a big frying pan of oil awesome laughed right out loud. a good post happens to everybody its quite something to watch the pros dig out deep hooks in seconds. im in for the deep hook extractor brought up here, and barbless hooks. i switch alot of trebles over to singles on rapalas to reduce this as well.
  14. i had a feeling this post would suddenly switch to picking holes in the story and going after the victim. nice.
  15. just a heads up to check 'discoverboating.ca' and look at 'marinas and ramps' when looking for launches. not everything is there but its where i start when visiting some place new.
  16. and they say auto theft is victimless. the kids will get nothing and if somebody gives them a beat down they'll go to jail. go figure. do we ever feel like giving punks a beat down? we always feel like giving punks a beat down.
  17. i think everybody has gone thru this many times, marking lots of fish a foot from the bottom and being unable to catch them. ive come up with 2 ideas, the first being inactive fish, not feeding, just hanging out. the second is they're not there at all, and adjusting the settings on the fishfinder (or throwing the damn thing overboard) solves the problem.
  18. +1 on the trailer plate. what a ridiculous argument with the MTO. bring in your ownership and we'll issue you a temp plate she says. well if i have the ownership and all my documents id just get the real plate! so i printed off the email from the MTO stating no such thing as a temp plate and took it with me, hoping if i got bagged i could at least demonstrate my attempt to be legal to the OPP. every state ive dealt with has a letter on their DOT website stating non title state.
  19. get the camera closer to the fish. also loosen up the truth a little. you'll find your fish getting bigger and bigger.
  20. i did it in a wooden barrel and everbody looked at me like i was some sort of idiot.
  21. it says in there somewhere something along the lines of land based and self propelled that eliminates the trailer from the 72 hour requirement. also no requirement for recall clearance letter if trailer is under 10k gross. however as clear as it is that the trailer doesn't require 72 hours notice it seems 1 out of 3 customs officers think differently. this is a simple process unfortunately PEOPLE are involved.
