whatever you say man by the way those cross memeber rollers aren't designed to be load bearing, they are for simple protection of the keel during launching and loading on steep ramps - the bunks are load bearing not for stabilizing....

it wouldn't really be a savings plan if you took money in and out of it all year would it? im surprised you can make a withdrawal at all without penalties..... ie remove and top up i mean.

the bunks dont have to be directly under the transom. we almost always set them up this way, on a custom adjustable trailer there is no reason for them not to be. when loading boats on trailers that were not adjustable sometimes you would need to hang the boat off the back a little to get the appropriate tongue weight. bunk placement would be slightly different for outboards, IOs, and genuine inboards. where youd have a greater problem is the transom being forward of the bunks, where it would end up ripping off transducers and such. and conventional trailer launching will require the trailer to be in the water regardless of how low you get it.

have both the trailer and the boat level. dont adjust the winch post/bow stop until the very end when the trailer/boat is settled into its final spot. keep an eye to the clearance of the front cross member to the boat but its rarely an issue.

if you have a hoist you are golden. suspend the boat above the perfectly centred trailer. lower until you have acheived a height over the fenders that is acceptable. raise the bunks up between the chines and tighten. make sure you dont line up with transducers or other equipment. another way to do it if you have access to the boat out of the water is take measurements from the drain plug to the centre of the chines and adjust accordingly. pretty hard to get the height right this way. the bunks should be placed as wide apart as possible but remember the in and out position of the bunks will be what determines the height of the boat... no formula i ever found, there were a few boats i just knew but generally had to adjust most every time.

seems like they should take up their issue with the landowner that gave you permission. you are not trespassing at your friends house.they would be trespassing if they came over to give you grief while you were at your friends house, as you were the one granted permission to be there. i always find it funny, some people's idea the cops will show up at their request to deal with the most minor of disputes, like they had them on speed dial. "im gonna call the cops if you launch your canoe from my neighbours cottage with their permission." "10-4 sir we'll send the ETF with guns blazing" and they think the police will always side with the caller

power outages are not limited to an area north of powasson. people in southern ontario deal with power outages just like everyone else.

lakers fill the bays in may (the years that the ice is out) along with pike and whitefish. i have no doubt there are lakers deep but why would you, when they are presenting and feeding in ten feet of water. by all means drop your steel line for the rest of the year. or in may for that matter! any way this guy is fishing off a houseboat and a 9.9 in cross lake and won't be fishing for pike or lakers in 80'+ your host at tamar will show you the way.....

smallmouth - everywhere any rocky point or shoal - don't be afraid to go 20' + (crayfish, minnows) pike - troll the narrows and dropoffs - small ones on the shorelines wallies - troll worm harness or jig the dropoffs -points and between islands - they'll be in deep holes 30'+ lakers - deeeeeep, almost need to downrig this time of year, could try jigging spoons or bucktails but 60'+ your equipment is fine - though the walleye are really sensitive to line visibility don't bother fishing after 9pm cross lake is a good place to go from temagami - my favorite part of the lake for fishing have a good one!

it was an open water fish over a large submerged flat rock surrounded by (like all things buckhorn) weeds. all fish came from 12-20 ft that week. nothing over 2.5lbs all week except for that guy. i find that the small panfish are everywhere but the smallies are on the edges of the rare rockpiles. got to find them! fishing was slower than normal there were 2 significant storms that week - water temps were lower that normal for late august and the water was dirtier than i've ever seen it.....
