  1. I have no idea what that means but it does not sound like it would be something I would want to do.
  2. I'm making ribs.
  3. Not a great start. Try listening to what people are saying. Introduce yourself, maybe outline what species you target, and if possible include a picture of a fish. We love fish porn.
  4. That is good for Dave. Definitely my favourite fishing pro.
  5. I second going back to Buckhorn. Do the same thing as last time. Once you figure out a pattern on one lake take that expertise to another lake. This will also give you an opportunity to fine tune your techniques and still hopefully have some success.
  6. Sometimes I wish I lived near Cornwall. My family had a cottage on Hamilton Island when I was very youun, and I spent a lot of time fishing off the dock.
  7. Thanks for sharing. It is awesome that you get to fish with your family.
  8. That would be funny, but if you see a guy walking down the street in a banana hammock please hold off on a pic.
  9. Too bad you mentioned it on a forum otherwise you could patent that idea. It is a really good one. I'm thinking you could paint onto your rod and lacquer it if you wanted to do that yourself.
  10. Good info. So you are saying that lenses are mostly made in house by the companies and not outsourced?
  11. LOL that last post was awesome. When they wake up in the morning they piss excellence...I just wonder if they assist each other with that as well.
  12. Is it the same reason some spools of fluorocarbon cost 20 bucks and some 40?
  13. I think the worst part is that with warming water temperatures or in outflows of nuclear power plants these fish may be able to survive and screw up the ecosystem.
  14. That wheelchair pic is gold Jerry...gold.
  15. I've always wondered if sunglass lenses are like fishing line: Very few manufacturers, all you are paying for is the packaging and the advertising.
  16. Nice fish. I am severe slime withdrawal.
  17. There is a lot of hype about sunglasses. I have a nice pair of polarized arnette sunglasses, and a pair of spy polarized that I use and work well The arnette are amber and the spy darker. I've never used a cheaper pair so I can't compare them to cheaper ones. They have lasted a long time (4 years plus). I feel like I can see pretty well below the water. I'm thinking you should figure out what type of fishing you are doing. If you are sight fishing, or casting for musky I would say that you need a good pair. My brother fly fishes and has several pair depending on light conditions. If he can see a fish before the fish sees him he has a good chance of catching it. If you have no need to locate or see fish than any old pair will do. If you predominantly troll than polarized glasses won't make a difference to you. Whatever you do remember to always wear sunglasses. As Dave Mercer says, they can save an eye.

  19. You might of well have asked what the meaning of life is. Everyone will have a different answer to that question. Some really good advice was given here.
  20. I prefer the beer belly Check out the link: http://www.thebeerbelly.com/v/vspfiles/V4_Backup/media_images.asp
  21. I use leaders made out of mono or fluoro to protect the fish. I feel as though braid would be more likely to damage the fish.
  22. I actually took the dog for a walk without breaking into a full body sweat.
  23. Nice report. Thanks for sharing.
  24. I'm going to try making the transition from fluoro to mono leaders for musky fishing.
  25. Cool pics. I really need to figure out how to do that. I haven't gotten out in a week and the less I fish the more I think about it and the more I spend on it.
