  7. Greetings: Just a reminder that our annual lake Erie Bass Derby is this weekend, Sat. Aug. 6 & Sun. Aug.7. Tickets are available at most of the local bait and tackle stores around Hamilton, and from any of the club executive. Tickets must be purchased prior to midnight on Friday, they will not be available for sale during the Derby period (starts midnight on Friday, and ends at 5:00pm on Sunday). Tournament headquarters is at the Austin Park boat launch (east of Knight's Beach) The other weigh-in station is at Hoovers Marina in Nanticoke. The Derby takes place in Ontario waters within the Haldimand County boarders. We made a decision to increase the payout this year and in order to cover that, we increased the entry fee to $10.00 1st place (largest bass by weight) - $750.00 2nd place ( 2nd largest by weight) - $500.00 3rd place ( 3rd largest by weight) - $250.00 See the reverse side of ticket for all the derby rules. All Ontario Fishing Regulations are to be followed as well. There is also a draw at the end of the derby (5:00pm Sunday - Austin Park) for all ticket holders, for a number of prizes. Attendance is not necessary. Hope to see you on the lake this weekend. cheers, Steve

  14. I'm heading to lake nipigon next monday is the big lake still have lots of ice?
  15. Thanks for the up date I new you would know the truth.
  16. Every plane that land at Toronto airport dumps its fuel over lake ontario before they land.
  17. I switch my F150 over to propane Jan 2010 I have been saving 250.00 a month at .65cents for propane Best thing I've done.Cost to install $4500. $750.oo back from the government,$58.oo for 90 liter of propane,$117.00 for 90 liter of gas Even if propane goes up,it will be cheaper than gas.
  18. Great to have you out again.Good luck at school and have a good summer.
  19. Great job Ben, I will see you in couple of weeks for the cats.
  20. I'm looking for any articles on Nipigon I'm going there in May. Thanks
  21. Since I write down water temp every time I fish for cats. From my years of fishing for cat they start around 45F and get better as the water is around 55F. I have been out four times already have caught cats, but the bite is slow and so are the fish.I like my clients to catch lots of fish. You did not say how long it took to catch two fish. Two guys, two fish, how long? My trips are free if the fishing sucks. After the rain and warm weather this week. Next weekend should be good to go.
  22. The water in the river is 38F the best temps for cats is 70F to89F the cats are there but they are not going to travel far to get bait. That being said if you get your bait near the fish they will eat Last year at this time the water in the river was 52 F a big difference we need a week of warm weather or warm rains to get the cat moving.
  23. Tiller all the way.heres my 20' Lund, 90 tiller lots of room to fish. The best thing about a tiller is that you are at the back of the boat, a smooth ride for the driver in rough conditions <a href="http://s713.photobucket.com/albums/ww137/Anglersway/?action=view&current=new_boat_002.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i713.photobucket.com/albums/ww137/Anglersway/new_boat_002.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
  24.
