  1. lol - this is a classic - I always figured they were asian carp - buts its really hard to tell.
  2. #5 Mepps Black fury.
  3. Hey Moosebunk, OCM listed Kesagami as #1 for pike beause they didnt get to fish Little Vermillion. I have been to LV in 2005 and 2007 - I 'd go again right now if I had the omney in my pocket - no doubt about it. WE have built up some pretty impresive photos and info on LV (info) (gallery)
  4. congrats!
  5. Sadly we dont have a very good mic system yet - and the cold winds really cover up the dialog unfortunetly. We are trying to cut out the wind, and increse the rest of the volume, but its no easy task.
  6. Dont worry, there is lots of footage with Jon in it soon to come - we recorded well over 10 hours of footage on our trip!
  7. Making a basic spinner bait is pretty easy (as you saw) it only when you start dressign them, and making big ones that it gets hard (and expensive)
  8. nice Job! To bad Eric was knocked from the leader board though
  9. Anytime i reach overboard for a big fish i loosen my drag - in teh cold wters of LV you never know when those big pike are done fighting!
  10. We took turns filming and fishing, sadly I messed up the video of Jons biggest fish This video was jsut to show some of teh fish caught on my own lures. Jon was using Mepps lures 99% of the time. The next video wil have footage of both of us.
  11. Heres a video Jon put together with some highlights of my home made spinners. I had to rebuild a lure after cutting it to make hook removal easier on a good size pike. This lure caught 40+ inch pike beofre and after reconstruction!
  12. this one is 25 lbs.. "The bass weighed 25 pounds, 1 ounce on a hand-held scale, which – if approved – would shatter the world record, the 22-pound, 4-ounce bass caught by George W. Perry at Montgomery Lake in Georgia in 1932."
  13. Nicely done, I only have 2 species covered so far!
  14. nice job! you guys got some nice fat pike!
  15. wow!! great musky!
  16. That is my grin! Most of the time we were too cold to grin - but that doenst explain the rest of our pictures. In real life we laugh and smile no stop, the camera hide it though!
  17. You got one picture to work! It was good meeting you guys, looks liek you put the sticker to use too
  18. doesnt get much better then that, great opener!
  19. Barracuda! two inch Silver spoons, X-Raps and white Gulp sinking minnows are killer. You can also expect jacks and other reef fish liek blue runners most likely. If it is anything like fishing in th eVirgin Islands you are in for a treat!
  20. great photos! I cant wait until the day I teach my son to fish!
  21. great job buddy - that is a quality day of fishing!
  22. I would make the trip several time a year if I could affor it! Although the price is great for what you get, it wont be a yearly even anytime soon! MattyK: the lodge is called Sportsmand Lodge - there had been a few posts from ther already this year - the pike fishing is top notch.
  23. the charm says: On the left: “Prayer and hope for good catches” On the right: “Safety while fishing” Along the bottom:”Tomioka Hachimangu’ (the name of the shrine)
  24. Theres no way the OPP are goign hungry! Hopefully that lure will catch you plenty of fish in the future!
