Where would you buy? Kinda fishing related
lookinforwalleye replied to John's topic in General Discussion
I would look at the BoQ area for the great fishing also Rice Lake for the good fishing and they have land leased properties which are very affordable, lake Nipissing is a great place which also has land lease properties available a family member bought one of these 2 years ago on Nipissing for 100k and it is a great place 3 bedroom waterfront plus a nice bunkie. -
Option 1, catch and release = fish has a chance. Option 2, catch and eat = fish has no chance. Option 3, dont`t fish. I prefer option 1.

I was just going to type the same thing, aluminum is more forgiving from what I understand.I have been told that if you hit something with a SS prop you could do a lot more damage to the lower unit.

Hey Dax it`s easy for someone to criticise and say you should have reported them but they don`t have to live next door and put up with the possible Bull that could result now if this keeps happening then that is different and they should be reported, I know I would not have a problem reporting a repeat offender and I don`t think you would either.

Sometimes the big boys need to be pushed a bit to get action Luv2drift did the pushing and the Internet was the means to deliver the push you got to love the power of the internet. Kudos to BPS for doing the right thing.

Let me be perfectly clear here my gutless comment was directed towards the policy maker level of the MNR, I am certain the troops in the field are doing the best they can and I support them 100%

I will comment on my home lake (Scugog) ,I would like to see the following changes to the regs. Close the lake to ice fishing indefinitely,I would like too see a hard water season for Crappie only but too many pigs out there would keep the Walleye. Sorry bait shops! I would like to see a reduction in the limit of Walleye to 2 fish and perhaps a slot as well and if the Walleye situation is as bad as I think it is I would even support a catch and release only fishery for a period of time. I would like to see the minimum size for Muskie to be increased to a minimum of 42" I see no need to keep a 36" Muskie or any Muskie for that matter. I would institute a netting campaign to rid or greatly reduce the number of Crappie in the Kawartha Lakes and introduce measures to control their population going forward. I doubt if any of these measure`s would ever come to fruition because basically when it comes to making tough decisions the M.N.R is gutless.

That fish looked like a monster too bad he lost it but don`t feel to bad for Bob he has caught more big Musky than most people could even dream of catching.

Well since I have been vocal about the effects of the crappy crappie on my Scugog walleye population I should do my part and try to help thin the population. Support walleye KILL a CRAPPIE!!!!! -
Wise choice on the Crestliner I would think that Crestliner would have a better resale value than the Legend.

Are you an idiot! Not at all I think most have done some thing stupid with our boats for example last year out on Simcoe when we finished our fishing for the day stowed all the gear put the life jackets on hit the throttle and lets go 2 seconds latter I say to myself why is the boat not getting on plane it took a good 15 seconds before i realized that i forgot to bring up the anchor. Dumb eh!
-
I`ll say don`t pay 5 grand you can get a new rig like that for 5 grand or so. 3k max for the used but hey I`am a cheap bugger.
-
Everybody has their preferred manufacturer if you like Legend and you think the price is fair and you don`t mind it being under powered and it being a two stroke and a skinny 80" beam then go for it, you say you fish the BoQ a lot if that is the case then that boat your looking at would not be on my short list looks kind of skinny with a 80" beam I know I would not want to be out on that body of water in a skinny boat especially if I had a couple of kids in the boat and the weather turned nasty.

I would agree with Dax nice boat but the 90 is probably too small that`s a heavy boat the 115 would be better and the 150 would be perfect especially if your planning on water sking/tubing with the fam on board. When I bought mine last year it came with a 60 but I upgraded to the max. HP 90 and I am glad I did.

It`s been a long long time since I kept a bass for the the pan I prefer a nice perch or walleye fry.

do fish feel pain when hooked?
lookinforwalleye replied to urbanangler1990's topic in General Discussion
This subject usually causes a lot of debate amongst anglers and the P3TA people. I have read articles done by people that are a lot smarter than me that claim a fish does not feel pain because their brains are not developed enough, I read another article that claimed in another study some scientists injected bee venom into the lips of Rainbow Trout and the fish responded by rubbing it`s lips against the rocks indicating that it was indeed feeling discomfort. Here`s a question for you if it was proven a 100% that fish feel pain would you give up fishing? -

LOOKING FOR SOME WATERFRONT PROPERTY
lookinforwalleye replied to valerie's topic in General Discussion
Like Terry said a waterfront acreage in cottage country for 125K might be tough to find. You can try MLS.ca and do a search you can slect an area and specify waterfront you might just find something especially if you don`t mind a land leased cottage a family member of mine bought a great place on Nipissing a couple of years ago that is a land lease but it was cheap. -
