  1. Been there fairly often, every couple days spend 6-10 hours fishing.. Nothing caught by me yet.. But lots of hits, and had a few on.. Had one almost spool me. good thing for lighter leaders then line.. lol Couldn't believe the amount of people down there this weekend! Starting to feel like sardine in a can! With todays/this evenings rain.. Hopefully that will bring in some more smaller ones. Seeing alot of 15-20lbers being taking home. Noticing as time passes, the smaller ones are starting to come in. Not sure if I am going to be back down tomorrow.. Tuesday for sure. Can't miss me, with the amount of comments im getting on my rod holder.. lol.. Custom made fits in my hitch on my car.
  2. Lol how big? well there was a guy there this afternoon at the Ganny.. large 3 prong hook, and used a Full Large Marshmellow.. I almost fell over laughing...
  3. 50lb PowerPro on a baitcaster.. thats what I have landed most of my spring time walleyes on in Rice. No leader.. just clasp with eaither Rapala or Bucktail.
  4. Seems to be happening to alot of people randomly lately.. Sometimes Facebook will have the french keyboard and msn will be fine.. and then vice versa.. and then it goes away for a week or so.. then back again.. lol
  5. If you change it yourself in the driveway and its the O2 Sensor which is closest to the manifold.. Expect to use a wrench and propane torch.. Had to heat it before it would break free. But once changed it was good to go. Pull the battery cables for atleast 30min so that the computer resets itself, both cables.. not just the negative..
  6. Heading up to RedHorse Lake this weekend for camping, and was wondering if anyone on here has had some experience fishing that lake? Thanks Chad
  7. Aucautlly the store can do something about it, but its in their own discretion.. Problem is that if they do it for one person, they will have to do it for everyone.. But if you are polite and talk directly to the store manager and explain the situationa and even make it up a little that you just drove like 2 hours to get there just for that product, sometimes they will help you out and give you that product pictured for that price.. The only time they won't do anything is if there is a notice posted at the door, or at customer service or in the location the product is, stating that there was a miss-print in the flyer. Then your just outta luck..
  8. This is not a personal hit against anyone.. But the way I see it.. Nobody seems to have the nutz to talk to someone higher up in the chain.. If you don't get satisfaction from the person your dealing with.. go to their manager.. if no luck.. go to the store manager.. and up from there is the store owner.. and if not.. Then call the Head office.. I know people that have done that in the past, and if they are not able to sell the product advertised due to a miss-print in the flyer, and you carp at them enough... But still be polite about it.. You will get some sort of satisfation.. I ended up going directly to head office, gave them the details, peoples names.. etc.. Personally I know this cause not only did I work there.. But also been in those situations and in the end Head Office ended up sending me a $100 gift card, and another situation they sent me a $50 gift card.. Yes I might not have been able to get what I wanted.. but some sort of remuneration is better then nothing...
  9. 7' Pike... guessin with that Girth around 6lb 8oz....
  10. If they are expried... Get rid of them.. I learned first hand... The ones I had were not marine, but were Road Flares.. and handed to me personally from a OPP officer directly out of his trunk of his cruiser... (They have a big box in the truck of all the cars) Had them for about 2 years... Stored them in a tote box behind my seat in my S-10.. Had other emergency things in there also since I spend alot of time on the road in all weather conditions... Well Driving down the 401 little over 3 years ago, i could smell something, and turned around and there was smoke coming from the tote.. Pulled over imediatly and grabbed my camera gear off the passenger seat and anything else with in reach and got out of the truck.. No sooner did I get out of the truck and closed the door, and walked around the front.. The inside was engulfed in flames... Fire department once they got there and got it out, said that it was road flares cause there was one they had a hell of a time to put out with the foam. Make things worse.. I only had basic insurance.... so I lost out big time.. Never again will I carry flares that are even with in a few months of expiring!
  11. He was probly using one of those old hand held spring loaded scale.... and he removed the spring..
  12. Lol, thats a tough one personally.. I was out with a buddy in a 10ft Tinny with a 7.5hp... He was going full throttle, and i nailed one! on a small black rapala, lol
  13. Theres no way that fish is even close to 10lbs!! Unless he droped 4lbs of lead down its throat! Here is a pic of a buddy of mine that caught a 5.5lb! Looks about the same size if not bigger then that Ricer
  14. Could be the time of the week too. I notice some posts will go untouched for a few days, and then BAM someone reads it, and it brings the post back up and everyone starts replying.. And sometimes you just need to watch the subject.. you want to make it something to attract peoples atttention.. Like "timmeh" mentioned, there is alot of non-registered guests that read the messages also. So I might look like 50 people read it.. But maybe 5-10 was registered users, and they might not have been from the area your lookin to fish, so they have no insight in regards to that area, so have no reason to post.
  15. 1) Rinse fish under fresh water 2) Roll in Flour, Fresh Ground Pepper, Fresh Ground Sea Salt Mixture 3) Milk Bath 4) Roll in Pancake Batter Powder "Aunt Jemima Original.. The one you have to add egg and milk to" 5) Fry in a shallow pan, bottom of pan thin layer of EVOO and a slab of butter. Wait till batter is dark golden brown and flip. Its really good. Have tried other pancake mixes.. taste horible or plain.. Only use the one i listed. Then I take the left over flour, milk and batter and mix it all together. It should be sticky, and throw it in the pan after the fish is done.. mmm. sooo yummy. and no waste! Might have to add a little extra milk or pankcake batter, but it should be sticky. After cooked it will remind you of a doughnut! lol
  16. They also have like a 3 or 5 year warranty on them also! I was lookin at one last week.
  17. Before spending the money there, I would dump a full bottle of carb cleaner in the fuel tank and check your spark plugs and make sure theres not too much of a gap and that there is no gunk built up on the plugs.. and your air filter.. Then take her for a run at full for about 30 min to get the carb cleaner running through it.. Thats if your running a 4 Stroke.. Unless the shop is willin to check for free.. I defaintly wouldn't spend $60 or more for a mechanic to check it out and just to tell you its gonna cost you more.. Try the little quick home fixes first..
  18. I would love to see a shot with the mouth closed!! I wonder what that looks like.. Slight overbite! lol
  19. Email me more photos, lay it beside a ruler, and also need a pic of the front to see the mouth part. And I will see what I can do. [email protected]
  20. Welcome to the Community Jip, Cottage in Quinte is defiantly nice to have! Where are you from? Can't wait to see some reports with the fish you and your nephew have caught!

  22. Even passed a wolf joggin down the side of the 401 around Grafton on Sunday at 6:15am He was about the size of large German Sheppard. They are gradually making their way into residential areas.. Well I suppose technically Residential areas are moving into their territory.. But eaither way.. Even a friend was out on a quad last week up in Castleton area and seen a Black Bear.
  23. Lol, you really do like thinking these photos are fake don't ya.. lol This is a true photo, I work with them all day long and can tell with exif info and most of all, zoomed in and looking at individual pixles..
  24. Not Photoshop... I was thinking that.. I looked into the file EXIF info.. Its a true image all the dimensions and everything is correct.... And was shot with a Motorola Cell Phone.
  25. If you look close, the fish is aucautlly not cut.. Its laying on top of a Pike Filet As for the problem.. I think it might have the Jay Leno Syndrome... lol
