How did they start the hole .

I have a 50 lbs THRUST TILLER 36 INCH SHAFT ( MINN KOTA ) NOT SURE WHAT I PAYED FOR IT AT THIS TIME BUT I WILL SELL FOR THE RIGHT PRICE . 12 VOLT ENDURA 50 LBS THRUST 5 SPEED WITH 3 SPEED REVERSE. MINT CONDITION LIKE NEW . HAD IT ON MY OLD LUND 16 FT AND IT WORKED VERY WELL EVEN ON FAST WATER IN RIVERS AND WIND. JUST A THOUGHT.

I have come to the PRO's . For this QUESTION. What size kicker would you put on a 17 ft lund with a 115 merc 4 stroke as the main motor . Boat is a LUND 17 ft Explorer. Iam thinking around the 5 hp sizes I just want it to move the boat at a nices steady speed of 1,50 MPH. and up too about 5 MPH. with full control. Even in ruff water and wind conditions. OKAY " Whats your thought on this BOYS and GIRLS. I want to keep it as light as possible. THANKS MR. PIKE

THIS is what I think . If it is just for fishing then tiller is the only way togo. IT is better for fishing because you can control the boat better tighter turns and everything is at your arms reach . I had a tiller and I miss it. I have a 17 ft LUND now with console and wish I got it with a tiller .MY next one will be tiller thats for sure. ITS hard to operate steering wheel and a down rigger at the same time for one person. YOU REALLY need to try them both out so you can make up your own MIND. IT really is personal THING. Just my too cents. IT really comes down to what suites you best . Try them both out before you buy and you CAN'T GO WRONG.

I have a 115 HP merc. And I use a DRIFT SOCK behind my boat it works very well . And I can control my speed from O UP TO 3 MPR. IT works great . I hope to get a small kicker for next years fishing only because of the high gas prices and the hours put on the big motor. I have seen too many trolling plates come off or tare off . Just my 2 cents. DRIFT SOCKS ARE GREAT. MR. PIKE

Well the deed is dunn! THE boat is put away for the winter and plans for next years outings are in the works. I hope to make it up too lakeair for the JUNE G2G WEEKEND . MY frist week will be at HEY BAY in MAY and for my second week I hope to make it to lakeair for a week. Ending on the g2g weekend. As for my other three week of holidays I am open and will be keeping my eyes on the board for other hot spot to try out. I may keep a week for the fall after seeing all those pictures from QUINTE last week. MR.PIKE
