  1. No, but probably should. My wife got a couple of " The Letters " when she used to torrent a whole season of one of her shows from Pirate Bay or TorrentZ, we been using Kodi to watch back episodes of stuff we missed when we had a life for 3 years now without a threatening letter. We tried going legal with Crave and Netflix but they are limited in what you can access compared to Kodi.
  2. Wife was having trouble watching her shows on Kodi a few days ago, seems the addon "Covenant" that we were using is now longer supported and dying a slow death. A look on the Kodi Tips forum suggested everyone switch to the new one " Neptune Rising" so far so good, if anyone else is having trouble I'd say give it a go. Kodi sure isn't a install once and forget it application , takes constant tinkering and updates to keep it current and working . http://www.wirelesshack.org/how-to-install-neptune-rising-kodi-addon.html
  3. We got one of those Instant Pot electric pressure cookers on sale and did our first meal ........... Baked Beans navy beans, brown sugar, molasses, dry mustard, worcestershire, tomato paste, bacon or ham, chopped onion ... lots of variation if you google recipes. 50 minutes in the pot and 10 minutes cool off, tastes just like you soaked the beans all night and cooked all day. Wife is a southern gal so she whipped up some cornbread and we served the beans over a slice of cornbread. Yum.
  4. If you are freaked out by this , you'll never want to fry frog legs
  5. Most would guess the New York record laker would be an Lake Ontario fish, nope, an almost 40 from Erie has that honour. correction : 41 1/2 pounds
  6. 2 recent pics from the Fishn Niagara facebook page , Denis is a diehard on the Upper Niagara The laker is a slob
  7. That is some pike fishery over there
  8. Quinoa subs well for rice but other than a handful of barley in homemade vegetable beef soup I have never used it. My wife started Weight Watchers last Dec and I follow for moral support, so far she is down over 70 and I over 60lbs. in 13 months. I am sold on that plan and you eat regular food too , no expensive diet meals. Initially when 245 I set a goal of 200 , now I just weighed 180.4 yesterday will maintain that 180 weight. After trying a medical weight loss clinic for over a year with little success, I would recommend Weight Watchers , easy to follow, with zero count foods there is no reason to be hungry and it worked for us even with no exercise plan and very little physical activity as we are 67 and 59 retired 9 years .
  9. The one that use the mashed black beans as well ??? edit : must be sausage making time, I just saw Loblaws/Superstore had a cooler full of pork shoulders at $1.18 a pound, didn't catch the metric in small print
  10. If you like quinoa, Costco has a really nice Greek Style salad made with it. I like the slightly nutty flavour over white rice as well, make it up with chicken broth and mixed veggies like a pilaf as a side or like MB2 as a fried rice type dish. I understand it has protein not sure if barley has that?
  11. MB2, with our weight loss program we have swapped out the white rice in our recipes with Quinoa, including fried rice, you should give it a go, there is actually food value to it rather than empty carbs.
  12. When I saw the Casino Tour Bus go down my street I knew something was up, a few minutes later an alert was posted on the town facebook page that the town was gridlocked, a simple 10 minute trip to the LCBO was an hour plus
  13. There was a transport truck fire that had the Niagara bound QEW closed at Bartlett here in Grimsby for hours before the game , bet a lot of fans missed the start of the game. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/hamilton/grimsby-qew-transport-truck-fire-1.4467450
  14. I've always worn boots of the LL Bean boot style for early upland game hunting, 10 inch non insulated, bottoms are good for wet situations but little ankle support if in hilly country, best on level ground. The ones I wore were Sorel " Foresters " I don't see them listed anymore but they were identical to the Bean shoe. https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/506697?page=footwear-llbean-boots https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/33171?feat=506697-GN2&page=men-s-maine-hunting-shoes-10&csp=f&attrValue_0=Brown/Brown&productId=452937
  15. GTG , birth certificate in my wallet says 1950
  16. Not sure if it is the game you are referring to but heard on news this morning an outdoor junior game is cancelled in Ottawa because it is too cold .
  17. Years ago a friend and I would rent a motel room for a week in the fall in Meaford for steelheading, the first year we went in 1 vehicle , after that we took both vehicles and compared notes when meeting for lunch or in the evening, guess we were both fish alone people. edit: actually the same friend and I would fish separate boats alone with radio contact out of Grimsby all summer for salmon and trout as well, cover more water
  18. Years ago , they would send addressed manilla envelopes with a plastic bag inside to a selected number of Duck Stamp Holders and you were to mail the wings to the CWS I think it was. Did it one year and think I got them for the next few years as well ( They found a sucker ) but never mailed after the first year, always expected a mountie to show demanding I comply, as it was federal.
  19. Somewhat shocked at this as pretty much everyone involved in the shooting sports , to the man votes PC. If Harper was still PM there would be a backlash from core PC supporters.
  20. Got this album on vinyl , in a milk crate in the basement Us peasants had Dual turntables in the 70's the rich guys bought Thorens edit : Dutch Mason the King of Canadian Blues
  21. Seriously, everyone wants to jump on Loblaws for price fixing on bread, but forget about all the government sanctioned price fixers/ marketing boards for eggs , milk , wheat, fuel etc, sorry but I really don't see a difference.
  22. Haven't been, but the general consensus on the shooting forums is that they handle restricteds so they are already better than LeBarons, the store is kinda empty feeling cause they got a lot of unused space still , they do have some fishing tackle too. https://www.solelyoutdoors.com/firearms/
  23. Caught a then personal best Eye in that river in an eddy behind an old bridge abutment as a last cast with a musky bait B4 putting the boat on the trailer, after an evenings fishing from the launch where Regional 37 crosses just north of Belleville. But that was maybe 35 years ago
  24. Any truth to the rumour that Bozak may be traded to Pittsburgh and join his old room mate, best buddy Kessel ? and what would the Buds get in return?
