  1. I've heard a musky can eat something a third if it's size...! So a 36 incher CAN eat a 12 inch bait... But I don't think it's ideal...
  2. You gotta think this way... Sure you can buy 2 or 3 replacement 50 dollar rods for what I paid for my st.croix avid... But that means 2-3 ruined fishing days... 2-3 trips back to the store... 2-3 times dealing with the highschool kid at costumer service... And you are using a lower quality rod... What's your day on the water worth to you? In my experience... If you can afford the "investment" on a higher end rod... You'll be happier in the end... Also my brother broke a st.croix legend (his fault) flipping a 5lb walleye and "fumbled" the ending... Lol He contacted st.croix about what happened... They said it sounds like a defect... So my brother said he didn't wanna wait 1-2 months for a new rod... So they sent him a new one charged to his credit card... And when they received the broken rod... Reimbursed him... The new rod was here in less then a week...
  3. St.croix has awesome customer service... I broke a ten foot wild river rod... My fault totally... They have a set up where you can buy the replacement tip section for 30 bucks...!
  4. I had a brand new fenwick spinning rod snap below the first eye on a piece of rush bed grass... Barely pulled...
  5. First off... Triumph is the cheapest st.croix you can get... Premiers are good... I love my avid And my brother has some legends and they are incredible... Fenwick is at Canadian tire now... Wich says a lot... Fenwick quality has gone downhill...
  6. Nice fish dude... Still trolling or getting vertical?
  7. Sweet day fellas... 18-20 walleye is good... Just gotta find the bigger ones...lol
  8. Kinda... A new spot on the spot if you will...
  9. So you got a fish to rise while teaching a figure 8? And you didn't know it was there? Coolest
  10. My buddy says he can tell bass from walleye... He says he can even tell a school of 1-2 lb bass from a schoool of 3-4 lb bass He has a hds 7
  11. Well it sure isn't the fishfinder malfunctioning... Or this would happen in daylight... If its not fish(wich I think it is) maybe it's nessy... Lol
  12. I know right... Driving me bananas... But my little fella goes crazy for it...
  13. im thankful for... sharp hooks strong line true running lures tasty walleye my boat my truck and all that mushy stuff like friends family and OFNers and very very thankful for my 5 month old son connor... he is the happiest baby in the world... hes always smiling and giggling and hardly ever cries... and sleeps full nights... we are soooooo lucky
  14. We let them go last night... But we didn't get any where we got the musky... For obvious reasons...
  15. Yup... Almost spooled him... We had to chase it with the boat...
  16. Was doing some night trolling with my brother for walleye when this nice musky grabbed his 3-4 inch crank... No tape on it cause I didn't have my musky gear... But she was big... Not 50 inches but not far off... I guessed at 48
  17. I have some of the big grandmas... Can't seem to catch on em... They are both rock solid colors as well... I catch on the same ones in 8&10 inch... I guess I gotta wash em some more and figure this big bait thing out...
  18. if its only hapening at night and your not seeing the same thing in the daylight... i would say its fish or bait rising off the bottom to suspend.... but if your seeing this everywhere... then thats weird... i see images exactly like this on my humminbird... but im catching the suspended walleye when in seeing it... the walleye rise off the bottom in the evening/night...
  19. would this fall under bait making..? or taxidermy... really nice flies... and nice cranks roy... do you sell them? are they threw wire?
  20. Most of my cranks are 10 inches... I pulled my plow for a while yesterday...
