My dad told me about a guy that used to fish our area... He only ever used one rod tied the same way for everything... A sinker with 2 hooks above it.. Just changed the size of minnows he used based on what he was fishing for that day...Perch... Walleye... Bass... And he did REALLY well...

Get on the cranks!!!!! Troll structure with cranks... Don't be afraid to make contact with bottom... On average cranks will get the bigger fish... And once the water warms up enough... Cranks will not only get you bigger fish... But they'll get you as many as spinners if not more because you can cover water faster... My brother used to be a spinner troller... Now (after i got him onto the cranks) he only uses spinners in the spring... And only half the time... Once the end of June hits it's all cranks for both of us... Not sure about Gbay but that's the case here and I'm willing to bet that's the case there...

I was told by a professional ( forget the actual title...) that a tick takes 3 days before it can loosen its she'll to feed... So you got 3 days before things get a little more tricky... Do not burn it!!!! Ticks breath through their backside while feeding on you... So if you burn them they'll regurgitate inside you causing infection... At most pet stores the sell these little plastic tick removers... From what I've heard they work really well... Like I said... This was taught to me while tree planting in kenora by people that I assume knew what they were talking about... ...

Typically I find my opener fish on the edges of the thickest weedbeds I can find... One area I fish we get are action at the thickest clumps of the weed bed... Also secondary channels that can be a bit warmer... And find the food find the fish... For me that's walleye... Usually in June I start getting musky activity while targeting walleye... As far as go small... I don't buy into that... I try to pattern the way I do most of the year... Considering the first water I can fish musky is a shallow river... I start with one guy throwing a double 10 or double 8 handlebarz inline.... And the other on a glide bait like a hellhound... Usually they'll want one of the 2 baits... either the iratic glide bait or the vibe of the inline.... And then proceed from there with size... color... make... etc...

One thing to consider... Do you do the "bass master" hook sets? Cause if not you can go to a stiffer rod and then you have better ability to rip cranks through weeds and once hooked you'll have more backbone for those beefy bass... Also what line are you gunna use? If mono... Then again a stiffer rod is better... If braid... Well the I softer rod os better... Also... Weight of baits... A softer rod generally can cast light baits farther...

It's hard plastic... So the keel can slide easily... And fairly thin... Not much room for countersinking in wood... It's also curved... Concave on top and convex on the bottom...

OMG.... After sending a pretty aggressive email explaining how upset I am and saying I was charged for the part that he says I never ordered... He emails me back telling me he verified my order and the part with be leaving Shorelander( somewhere in the USA) may 30th!!!!! So not only did I pay once for the wrong part(thier fault) but now I am expected to be ok with a simple order taking 5-6 weeks... I ordered it may 4th... Now I probably won't get it toll mid June... And all the time I wasn't offered some sort of refund or discount on the order... At the very least they could give it to me at cost or ship it for free or something... I told him I want a full refund and that I'll be taking my business elsewhere... BTW I would avoid UNITRAIL in the future if I were you guys... I know they're never getting my business again...

Part # from Shorelander manual... 3510515 Description... Black plastic keel pad... It supports the front of your boat under the keel instead of a roller set up... It is a plastic peice that bolts to a metal piece that pivots on the front cross member of the trailer... The old part wore out and cracked... And for now I have a jimmy rig with some modified boom shims for street lights...

Nope... It's a Shorelander specific part and the part wasn't used on many models of trailers... And from what I can tell they were only used for a couple years on those few trailers... Thanks tho... ...

I just can't get over the absolutely terrible practices/customer service of Canadian businesses.... I tried ordering a hard to find part for my Shorelander trailer... I ordered with the actual Shorelander part number from the only Shorelander parts dealer in Ontario that I'm aware of... 2-3 weeks later I get my package... Wrong part... But it's not worth shipping back...because between shipping to me and me shipping it back I'd be out as much as the refund is worth... So I take that shot to the family Jewels with a smile... Then I go back in for the second boot between the legs... The company merged with another... So now I'm dealing with another guy... So I have a long chat via email with this fellow followed by a long chat on the phone so we are clear on what I want... He later gets back to me via email saying he can get the part... Gave me a price... And said to call to place my order... And I did... Placed my order with him over the phone with my credit card... Now... 3 weeks later and no part... I sent him an email asking where my part was... And get this........... He says he never received approval from me to order nor did he get my CC number to pay for the part..... Now there's steam shooting out my ears... So I checked my CC statement... Sure enough there's a charge for the part I ordered... Wich tells me when I asked this moron about my order he didn't even take a look for it... I'm done with Canadian retailers... Sorry for the good ones out there... Jeez I hope there's a few... But every order I've placed in canada has had issues and costs more... Doesn't anybody care about their work anymore...? How do these people get jobs...? Sorry but I had to let that one out...

Yes... Happens to me all the time... Plan a huge day of fishing...12-18 hours with the drive... And only get 3-4 hours of sleep... I'm like a kid on christmas... Wife laughs every time...

just wondering if anyone knows if/how i can watch my itunes movies on my samsung smart tv... can i connect my iphone with movies on it through the usb port on my tv and watch itunes movies...? im just looking to get the most out of the technology i have... thanx mike

did the same in kenora... i was up there doing a tree planting contract... me and a buddy bought a rubber dingy at canadian tire so we could get off the shoreline... within an hour there were 2 30,000 dollar lunds circling us cause we were getting more walleye then the 2 other boats combined...lol its not the size of the boat that catches fish... its the angler... great report
