No switch in mine either. Couple hints for a boosting situation. I only have the higher end electronics and if they shut down you need to start your engine now. If it won't turn over the first time and check battery cables and try 1 more time. Get your cables and try 1 more time. Still no go. Leave cables attached and DON'T try for 30-40 minutes. Give the battery time to get a little more charge in it. Most guy like turning the key 20-30 times. If it didn't start first time it won't start on the 29th time.

Lets face it Erie smally's are just stupid and you likely can drag 80 braid and still catch them.

It's true if you have some little $400 fish finder and really don't challenge your cranker. Don't buy a charger or you troll all day. If run one of these 3-4 screen 12 inch head setups with a pair of Talons you will be boosting your boat every day. Most new Skeeters and Ranger have a switch that you flip and boost off your trolling battery's. Some are even running a 5 battery set up. Not important around the Kawrathas but if you are at Main Duck and your boat won't start you are in trouble.

You really to watch, that MK 330 was likely like mine and it's a 3 banks of 10amp chargers in 1 box. With the dollar likely 5-600 these days. If don't read the box you might think it 30 amp per battery. I also had 3-4 Guest and only one gave me issues.

Ya I see that with small pike to. If you get a feeling or are looking at your bait and see them coming and let them hit without moving your bait it will happen less. Small pike are like teenage girls just a little flighty. I use the Stay Loc titanium 9 inch because I usually get 200 fish before it breaks at $8/per. Little expensive but I have had no break off since then. And also support a Canadian guy Bernard is a Chinese Canadian guy you likely seen him at any Sports, Tackle show with a wonder wire do dat for musky. Also invented that spin drop shot thing and sold it for millions. Maybe not that much but said his kids are taken care of. When I was trying large lb flouro leaders fishing a Muskoka tournament I watched a 40 inch caliber just coast up mouth open and one bite my bait 4inch of a expensive flouro and a cherished bait just gone. And the missible pr..k spit the bait and just coasted off. Next day I threw that junk out.

I had a 3 bank minn kota looking for a 4. Bay distributing likely the repair guys for minn koka good people there.

All chargers or almost all are smart chargers and they blast your battery for 3-5 minutes what ever they say then charge them at the most efficient manner possible. I buy 10-15 amp and let them do there job. If you cheap out and get a 2 amp trickle charger you will always wonder why your battery's are crap. For sure Minn kota and Guess, Ranger boat charger are better than BPS brand. the only thing with them is you may never get them back from warrenty. I've had good luck with the BPS brand and if they crap they hand you a new one on the spot. I would recommend that you buy a 3 bank charge if you have higher end electronics and also charge your cranking battery. BPS some times doesn't have a replacement 3 bank but if you kick up a fuss it will be laughable how quick a charger.

If you find one of these vids and watch it, should be obvious when a perch is laying beating on that perch jig for thirty seconds how nothing we have is as good as the fish. And even better they all have a mock 783 4 barrel fish finder that just made them great. Mmmmmm you look great another minute or 2 and that perch should chew the line in half.

Yep I suck will we suck. I would like congratulate Dave Chong he likely won the boat. We were in 4th which is way better than 2nd. Well we stood there Dave's fish came in but he already had a 11lber in,and the guys behind us weight 3 and 2 knock use down. This morning we were in 9th an fell to 10th. We likely maybe broke even. -
We all give braid to much credit. It's garbage just like mono,co polymer spider wire, flouro all garbage. Here's my proof. Google ice fishing perch lake Simcoe. With a little work you will find some idiot blathering away about how great braid is and a perch is just mowing down on his jig. Stupid will be telling how great braid and he never misses hookset bla bla bla. If it's that good why did that perch get away. Braid is just braid if you are a bad angler you still will be a bad angler after you spend $20.

I fish 20 braid and2 ft of flouro. Just keeps the bug weight forward to over work it.

No worry's losers are always wining. -
I use 30 lb Stay Loc titanium 9 inch leaders. About 80% of the time pike hit from back. So I'm only worried about giants swallowing bait.

31 pike is what balsam has to offer. The tiger muskies are legal. Muskoka is a different game a 40 is a little small and they are like rice bass they don't suffer fools. June on balsam is crazy for walleyes. My guys have booked 4 days in a row. I'm in the money. -
I go to the bead when it's gin clear and bright sun. There hook up % is awful but a bite is better than no bite.

Pike Fishing Trip - Canal/Mitchell/Balsam
Garnet replied to FishFinder17's topic in General Discussion
At this point Mitchell/canel are drawn down. In a few weeks MNR will take the dam out at Balsam end of Michel re flooding system. I seen a tinner hit the bearer one time. It's difficult to see. If you drive up Hwy 48 and can still see the stumps you can't get to Balsam. Or you can't get from Balsam to Mitchell. -
You can hang a number on this because you just can't find 1. I would likely start at 16.5 maybe 17.2 and gauge interest. If the phone rings art 16.5 I would likely back off and up the price.
