I'm a fan of clean cork too, but I wouldn't suggest using sandpaper. You can easily remove the dirt/grit without taking any of the cork away. Any mild household cleaner will work. Personally, I use comet.

That depends on a few things Bill. Fishing for Brookies about a decade ago, my buddy hooks into a behemoth Lake Trout on 6 lb. test and an ultra light. 45 minutes later I net a 34 lb. (on a spring scale) Laker for him. Couple of pics and back it goes. I discussed the possibility of it being a line class record with him as neither of us knew what the 6 lb. test record was. But surely it had to be close. Turns out he smashed the record by 6 or 7 lbs (at the time). I forget exactly. When I told him, he just shrugged his shoulders and said that he still wouldn't have killed it just to get his name in a book. I can say for sure that had it been me, I wouldn't have killed it either.

Apparently the Leafs practiced their defensive zone play during the olympic break. Now that Larry and Curly have screwed up, it's Moe's turn now.

I did a local radio chat with Gord Ellis a few years back Mike. I know what you mean.

I've caught both Perch and Pike on raw bacon. And not just a few either. Couldn't keep them off my line.

Weekly might bright some riff raff in Cliff. A higher price might leave you without tennants some weeks, but at least you'd be able to sleep at night. It's a tough call. I think you might have to feel out a price that gives you both some decent income and peace of mind.
