  10. Were headed to Nipigon for a week and taking the senic route home and plan on splitting it up over a few days. Looking for a place to pitch out tents in this region not too far from the highway even better would be a chance to launch the boat and catch a walleye. Any suggstions via pm would be much appecated. Crown land is best but pp. Would also be fine. Thanks guys.
  11. Nasty beasts. Looks like fun
  12. Nice welcome to the board
  13. It will be fine smoked.
  14. At this point I'm getting nervous about nipigon first week of june
  15. Looking for tracks and rod holders for dipsies. No plastic please. If anyone has a system collecting dust....
  16. Well ok...ive just been lazy and haven't really looked for em I guess. What areas of a river do they prefer?
  17. Nice feed. Wish I had a local crappie spot.
  18. I use the Canada and US boating one for the last few years. No issues. Pretty sure I paid only 19.99 4-5 years ago worth every penny
  19. Fished pretty good last June. We camped on an island for 6 days Only place I've put 800 inches of walleye in the boat in one evening. We caught 18-26 inch walleye pretty much every cast for an hour before dark. East end is shallow West end is deep. Lots of water to cover. We had them patterned the first day we smashed them every morning and evening we had verry stable weather not sure if our experience was the norm or not as it was my only time there. Beautiful scenery some unmarked hazards.A few bears , 20 bucks to get over the dam and back with your own boat.
  20. I stayed there 2 years ago. It's still a pp. Half the sites are seasonally rented but nice lake and you can just beach the boat at night. No size for us but steady action.
  21. Negative. I' more of a 2 inch thick stiploin guy.
  22. I use a ipad with navionics mounted on dash of boat. Gps works even without cell service. Can mark waypoints and travelroutes.
  23. Have you tried the thermacell that screws onto a liquid fuel canister? Works wonders in the boat and aground camp.
  24. Meh bugs . Got to pay your dues for world class Brookies you guys are soft. A hoodie and a can of Muskol I'm good to go. Last time I was up there first week of June they wernt that bad. It' allot colder nights up there in may/June than down here. We will have a bugtent at camp for eating in and meal prep if the bugs are horrendous. Not taking a canoe. That' the point of this thread. No way I'd have a generator in a canoe
  25. I would also look at heading to meaford if you have a W or Nw wind you can find deeper water closer to shore and have less of a fetch for waves to pickup it's about a 45 min trailer.
