  1. I'll check and post back when I get home at 8
  2. I have the roll up blanket. Not sure how man W it is but it will charge up a deep cycle pretty good if left in the sun for six or so hours...enough to get my canoe 20 km out from completely dead.
  3. Thanks guys I was just having fun with the topic title. I wish it was a PB trout or pike but I will take what I can get.
  4. Well for everyone that says you need to spend tons of money to have fun fishing I proved you wrong. My new boat Hull: 150$ New transom floor and carpet: 150$ Motor, waterpump thermostat : 300$ Rod holders 50$ Stainless hardware 100$ Total cost 750$ Clocked on GPS at 28 mph before it got squirlley with lots of throttle left. Need a prop change to get the bow up a little while on plane. We hit kempenfelt on on sat. For lakers to no avail. But did a nice tour from line 2 oro into downtown barrie and back to test the boat. Sunday I took my brother and sister out for perch and had a blast. I know it's just a perch but what a tank . The pics don't seem to do it justice it had been in the cooler for 3 hours. I have never caught one this big and probably won't again.
  5. Yep there deep. Lots of boats out there today . We didn't catch any but saw a few. Had a blast with my new to me boat. Now time to invest in some down riggers.
  6. Any last min advice? I'm headed out in the am to give it a shot on simcoe. Going to run flatline spoons and 1/1.5 oz 3 way rigs. Is it too late in the season?
  7. What a great read. I've never had any luck with them now I know why. Much thanks to all that contributed.
  8. Thanks for the help. I m needing to test my new motor but don't really like winds out of the east on simcoe and the weather network had me scared with their wind forecast for the next few days.
  9. That picture puts the scale of the invasion into perspective.
  10. It's there...if its the one I'm thinking of its in town then you have to run up the narrows to the lake...decent gravel ramp when I was there years ago no dock that I can remember
  11. Your going to want a heavy weight rod. Pick up a heavy ugly stick or something similar in a 2 pc. I lived in Wilmington nc. For a while you never know what your going to catch.
  12. First fish of the day always goes back to swim another day.
  13. Check for spark, compression and fuel. Let us know wich ones you don't have. I would also suggest a manual for the motors. Not sure if this is taboo or not but Iboats.com is a great resource
  14. My mother is an alcaholic, thanks for dealing with it , your friends and family are forever greateful .
