  1. I'm interested to know as well. Except looking for the 4-stroke version
  2. Your sonar may have an option to display voltage as well.
  3. 13. Minnkota Ipilot (or wireless remotes in general)
  4. not much in London area. Looks like a nice weekend to be down at LSC good luck out there!
  5. Beard here as well...don't think I can get away with a stache at home
  6. We tried Chemong and Scugog river...didn't expect a 1ft chop in the river! Keenan I'm not surprised by the locks; the river is flowing fast at the dam...even down at the boat launch downstream we were getting pushes by the current. Anyhow managed 2 tiny perch and 1 walleye. That's it. Came home yesterday and should have left today for there...weather is much better now. Smalliefisher let us know how you did.
  7. I was thinking of heading to the Kawarthas this weekend. Seeing that its going to be cool and really windy most of the weekend, I still need to get out fishing! Want to try muskie for a bit and then switch to meal mode for walleye and crappie and heck maybe a small bass or two. If you wanted to avoid the wind, where would you go and still have a good chance for the above species? Was thinking Scugog river either below the locks or the creeks towards Lake Scugog. Either that or Pigeon river near Emily. Not sure of many other sheltered areas around Lindsay. If you have any other suggestions I'd really appreciate it!
  8. I got a 4 stroke this year and I wish I got electric start. Small motor but the compression is tight and tough to pull over sometimes!
  9. I've always been a Heat fan and its amusing how many people want to see them fail because they've added a few more stars to their team. I hope them or Orlando takes it this year. Wait till they find their chemistry and they will be a really exciting team to watch.
  10. How long of a wire run is it and what gauge wire are you using? Connections look good at the switch? You could start by-passing things and testing the 525 out at different sections in the circuit.
  11. Yup a fully charged battery should be around 12.6 or a bit more. Try hooking that 525 up to the battery directly and see what it reads. Still think its a wiring issue in the circuit. Keep in mind - If you have the display on the 525 on full brightness, it will read less that the actual battery charge. Try dimming the brightness on the 525 and see what it reads for Voltage.
  12. I had one years ago and I wasn't happy with it. Would go Honda or Yamaha if I was to get one again.
  13. Too small of wire will cause that on a long run. I have no issues with my Lowrance finder but I run 14 or 16 gauge wire to them from the batteries. Very minimal voltage drop.
  14. I really need to get out with you next time I'm up there! Congrats!
  15. I have the LED lights from PA and so far so good. Really bright!
  16. It depends what you want. 1. If you want a great camera that happens to be waterproof, choose the Panasonic TS2 or the Sony Tx5. I own the Sony TX5 and it is awesome. 2. If you want a waterproof camera that happens to take alright pictures, look at the Fuji or Olympus at that price point. Do your homework, some of the features on the high-end cameras are really worth it.
  17. Thanks Art. Glad I asked this question here. Though a little embarrassing I am sure learning a few things and extending the life of my dishwasher!
  18. The fitting are yes. The hoses are the same size currently. I'll see if I can run some ABS instead. Thanks again Art I really appreciate it.
  19. I'm using a standard clear plastic dishwasher line to/from the airgap so it should be ok size wise?. The length of that hose before it hits the ABS is probably 8ft? (forget what the hose length is) I'll pull it apart to make sure there isn't any kinks anywhere. No bends near it so good that way. Thanks Art.
  20. Update: I installed the airgap yesterday it was pretty easy to install. One thing I noticed was how small the incoming tube into the air gap is. My dishwasher is working perfectly but I now have another problem. The airgap is leaking a bit of water through the gap when it starts draining. I'm suspect if this airgap is big enough to handle my dishwasher. I can't seem to find any that have bigger tubing though. Do you guys know if there are bigger ones than these: Thanks again.
  21. Even though I wasn't born yet I love the old James Bond movies. Some cool boat jumping in these sequences and pretty funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmb3ZUAObyc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2P9fbQik8Wg&feature=related
  22. Thanks Art for the response I appreciate it. Quick question - would there be any odor coming from the airgap if I install it? Is there a risk of it leaking from the air hole? Just wondering if I should run ABS up through the floor instead.
  23. Not only that but there's usually a 3yr warranty that gives you peace of mind not having to spend $$$ on major repairs just keep it maintained. I bought a used 4 stroke this year maybe had 10hrs on it. I lucked out its been a champ. As long as its not a camp motor I wouldn't be concerned about buying a late model used.
  24. Probably can find a 9.9 4 stroke in the $1500 range that isn't too old. But if that merc is $2300 thats not bad. Do your research......you'll find something that works.
