  1. If you go for bass I could see more value in the cable steer. But for trolling and keeping on a spot fishing for walleye etc. I think the convenience of the electric steer is a no contest. Also depends where you are fishing.
  2. What do you primarily fish for? I love the electric steer but not in a powerdrive. Terrova all the way. 55 lbs minimum on the rig!
  3. Thanks guys...I see that CAA members get a discount for the site as well.
  4. I might be in the market for a vehicle and was wondering if carcostcanada.com is worth the subscription to get a better idea on pricing? Does anyone have experience with the site? Thanks.
  5. The small Optima battery would be a great choice.
  6. A normal ad should suffice unless its a rare item that needs lots of attention.
  7. Atrix looks awesome....covers what the Samsung Galaxy doesn't have (LED flash and front facing camera.) Also does 720p video!
  8. I'd be really looking at their top end htc phones jj
  9. What carrier jjcanoe? Might help narrow out down
  10. I'd look at the HTC and Samsung Android phones. Any kind of web browsing forget about Blackberry. Even with the torch it isn't quite there yet. Android keeps getting better, and Apple has its place as well. I believe there is a high end HTC that has a slide out kb. If you do go Android, make sure it will support OS 2.2 or 2.3
  11. Thanks for the replies folks. I know its smooth as silk on the Terrova, but not sure how it adapts on the Powerdrive. That's a great point about not being able to use the pedal; I like having that option as a safety backup. They're "trying" to get away without swapping in a Terrova/IP combo
  12. I'm thinking of getting an ipilot for the relatives Powerdrive V2 but was wondering how the steering is with the Ipilot on that motor. personally I think that is one of the powerdrive's downfalls but was wondering if the Ipilot helps make it a bit more precise vs the pedal
  13. Fyi this is a good deal and they work well
  14. Iphone hands down. Can you get an android phone? The htc desire z and hd is slick and I think has a slide out. The samsung galaxy is also a great phone
  15. Thanks guys. Didn't think about an xf but I agree that would be best.
  16. Guys I'm trying to decide which strength of rod I should go with. I already have a M baitcaster and a MH spinning, so was thinking of either a MH or ML baitcaster. I don't really drop shot but was wondering how the ML would fair out using senkos in not so weedy areas. Or do you think the MH would be the better bet?
  17. Top end I'd recommend the Optima batteries paired with a CTEK charger. If you're looking for a conventional value battery its hard to beat the Walmart or Costco deep cycles.
  18. I think raising money for a wedding publicly is taboo...particularly self-promoting it! Good on you for questioning it!
  19. Nils are probably the best drilling...but not so easy to get parts in Canada.
  20. I was wondering if the meat was Canadian or not. Hey I found a web coupon for a new membership - bottom of the page here! http://www.milliondollarjourney.com/buy-a-costco-membership-and-receive-a-25-gc.htm
  21. Actually your close! They are autolite plugs aren't the the same as motorcraft?
  22. Thanks for the tips guys it passed! Only area that was fairly close was the HC test while it was revving. 40pass 50limit Wasn't without incident though...was changing the spark plugs and one broke off. Thank goodness it was only the ceramic part and I could get the base out still
  23. Well I'm finally considering a Costco membership this year and was wondering what you guys think of the membership. Are you happy with the product there? Do you think its worth the membership? I was also wondering if there are discounts or promotions that are run that can save you $ off the membership. Thanks in advance!
  24. That's scary. There are many Canadian companies out there that you assume products are made here. Time to get used to reading the fine print. Heck start even looking on candy wrappers and other process foods - much is coming from offshore these days! I like my food to be as free from contaminants as possible. Not saying Canada is perfect but there are many other countries with not so good environmental records and/or reputations. Even with fish I don't eat great lakes fish often if at all and try to stick to inland lakes w/o much contimanation. Even that can be tricky, as some lakes have naturally occurring mercury for eg. Thanks for the heads up!
  25. The BPS Pro qualifier or Cabelas guidewear are good choices if you aren't into promoting BPS so much. Gander MTN just came out with a new lineup of rainwear http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=433112&pdesc=Gander_Mountain_GSX_Mens_Fishing_Parka&aID=501B5&merchID=4006 They also have the TechH20 lineup. Personally I'd go with something thicker than the toggs unless you are just using them for warm summer rain.
