http://www.artcal.com/decal.html These guys are in london, make sure to ask for a quote and see how well their product will hold up on your carts surface (stainless steel?). You'll notice that they already have a maple leaf hotdog sticker there so if you get that one or similar, you wont have to pay for design time. You can also try http://www.have1.com/index.php?p=Products/vinyldecals theyre in owen sound. Something like what you want will probably have to be silk screened though too, so its gonna cost a bit of money ontop of the design and vinyl cost. If I were you, Id skip the whole local thing and goto concessiondecals.com where you got the two stickers from anyways. Just ask to see how long it will take to get the stickers to you. And it will be a heck of a lot cheaper than to go the local route.

Agreed, cash grab. But, atleast if you do it at a power and sail squadron you get free junk mail for a year. That alone is worth doing it.

Keep in mind that its the fisherman, not the lure that makes the big difference. I think that listing every possible species that will hit the lure is just more of a marketing gimic. Do most of the fish you catch not eat minnows? Well, any minnow shapped lure is going to catch a fish. Colour, Size, Shape, Noise and Action. Those are really the big 5 on my list. I usually buy lures with a spot on a lake in mind where I know there are fish, but what I usually do just isnt working. Ive got it down so I only have about 2 winter lures (green berklys atomic teaser tube and 1/2+1/2 hammerd williams spoon), and 3 summer lures (white spinner with twister tail, perch rattlin rap, and glass huskey jerk) that are my go to guarentee, and usually outfish the people im with who've got every lure known to man. It really is true that they try to lure in the fisherman more than anything. oooo shinnnnyyyy

I think the fish would dig that at first, but after it got older they would probably start moving off. Oh and fish dont shy away from their friends raining down in little peices... they actually quite enjoy it. Theyre weird like that.

Was just watching the news and they showed some of the winners of this weeks 649. Quote "I've always wanted a lamborghini (pause)... so thats going to be fun to drive" I think I won $4.00 on those christmas stocking stuffer tickets... havent decided on where to vacation yet.

Isnt there a giant toury going on right now? lol Just get some people on the board to donate prizes or something to the biggest fish, winning team ect, if you wanna make it seem more real.

1st Annual LPB Jimmy Riggin's Perch Tournament
xeon replied to nautifish's topic in General Discussion
Just curious, how busy is it during the winter at long point? I remember being there for opening day bass last year and there were well over 200 boats in the first part of the bay where the yearly fishing sanctuary is. I still remember casting from a 14' aluminum and having people in 25'+ boats just trolling by literly 10ft away acting as if they didnt see you. Dont get me started on trying to find the Old Cut livery, let alone the street its on. -
I strongly disagree with just reading the manual for the firearms course, espetialy for the younger video game generation kids whove learned all they know about guns from Grand Theft Auto. Ive felt pretty scared at times putting a shotgun into the hands of someone who thinks theyre in a video game when shooting targets, even though I was right beside them. I think the course teaches a higher level of respect and most of all SAFETY for firearms compared to a book. The hunting course I could care less about in class. As long as your generally familiar with the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act and others, and you know how to read the general regulations and ID species, pay 30 bucks for the test.

Theres actually a safety camp within a certain distance of him at all times. He explains it in his new show... ya he completly ruined the survivorman image for me by saying that. I still like the concept, but he and the show just dont seem genuine anymore. Im kinda into the Bear Grills guy from man vs wild now. Ex SAS, so he knows how to super hardcore life or death survive, and I think that by not having to film the show himself he can do more. But with that said, some of the stuff is too super hardcore for the average joe who walks off the trail and gets turned around. He is very interesting to watch though, and is actually willing to put himself into the situation and show you how to survive unlike Les.

I might be a bit pessimistic, but if I remember correctly, survivormans last show where hes in Tamagami he and his friend have no freaking idea how to hunt and they gave up on fishing pretty darn quick. Well they got one grouse out of a tree for the entire week I guess Id say if you want real outdoor survival advice, goto the library and pick up some books on edible plants and fungi, basic survival methods, and whatever interests you, then get out there and develop the skills first hand. Your only seeing a tidbit of what it takes on TV.

Early this year I got pretty tired of paying 4 bucks for 2 teardrops from the local trading post so I decided to start looking online. Needless to say I found a great site. If anyone is looking for some high quality, great priced jigs, this is the place. Ordered from them twice already this year, shipping was cheap ($2.00), and I have to say, they do sell a nice product. You have to check them out. http://www.jamminjigs.com/

thats a pretty nice pike! The chorus to the song makes the video so ironic.

8lb seems a bit heavy for them. How do you know they were whitefish if your using a flasher, could be a minnow? Have you tried tubes?
-
Nice fish! Nothing beats hand bombing on light line.
-
I picked up a plano tackle bag too, but the spinners at the ctc near me were garbage. They were also trying to get rid of 1000yrd spools of triline in 6lb and 12lb... no 8lb though, because no one uses 8

Suckers are great bait but the spawners arnt gonna be small, try setting traps in creeks later in the year. Those suckers can get really big so im sure they would be a blast to catch... or blast with archery if your into eating them.

I loved talking to americans, probably the best segmint on this hour has 22 minutes next to the lady who was always at the donut shop and would shred people.
-
Nice work, those look like some real healthy fish too.

Yes but are all the components made in North America? I bet that would be an easy way to pull a fast one on her and win the bet eh?
-
My thoughts exactly.

I know its difficult to understand some of the accents, but why dont you try putting on a heavy accent of your choice back to them? I mean, its always fun, and you dont get annoyed at them because your laughing so hard. Tell tale sign that you dont have anything smart to say when you start correcting peoples grammer.

Probably one of the only areas I havent hit up yet is in the park, might have to pull out the topo. Thanks for the inspiration
