Remmington 870 express will do everything you need to do and then some. Mine is 35 years old, has been dropped in the mud fallen out of tree stands, drowned a couple of times and it still works as well today as it ever did. I've won trap compititions with it shot ducks, deer, upland game birds, you name it. Excellent all round gun!

Wow! Sue would love that LOL. Actually we have been doing a fair bit of looking and learning. One of the things we have been told is that warranties are not transferable so be very careful of anything used. We were also VERY surprised at the prices of new but last years models. We found a couple of really nice 5th wheels with prices starting around $58,000.00 with a beautiful delux one for $83,000.00 (and boy it was beautiful). Got a lot more looking to do yet but that is why we started now.

Kids worm business shut down by city
Big Cliff replied to mike rousseau's topic in General Discussion
It's the way of the world today. Kids that do try to do something positive and some idiot has to jump all over them instead of encouraging them. What next, are they going to stop little kids from having a lemonade stand? Selling Girl Guide Cookies? -
I ended up getting the electric, it was a little more money but really worth it.

Some time ago I put up a post about trying to do onion rings and having a problem with the batter sticking (I have tried to search but couldn't find it LOL). Anyway, a few people came back to me and suggested a solution which involved chilling them prior to deep frying them. OMG they are so fantastic! Everyone that has tried them LOVES them! I have always tried to publically thank anyone that has ever helped me, I do believe that credit should be given where credit is due but in this case I don't know who to thank so If you were one of the people that suggested "chill them before deep frying" I thank you, my wife thanks you, my girlfriend thanks you, my mistress thanks you, my kids thank you.... ok, I might be pushing it a bit LOL but I really do appreciate the tip!

Had my garage sale this morning, several people showed up telling me that Lindsay and South were swamped. We didn't get a drop until abour 1:00 and even then it lasted only about 2 minuters. Sun is shining and it is really humid right now.

Dropped a valve would be my guess.

That's what I would have thought too! I wonder if he might have grounds for a civil suit?

When did T.J. get involved (take it over)?
-
Thanks Steve that is really helpful!

It would be really nice to have T.J. (or someone) give us the history. Might even be nice if it was a part of the site with it's own heading. "The history of OFC". Saddly we have lost a lot of good people over the years, thankfully we do have some of them listed in our site, never to be forgotten!

It was a pleasure to be able to help you and it was REALLY nice of you to share a couple of your "special" lures with me! As you can see they haven't gone un used LOL and in fact one of them has become a Go To lure for me already landing several fish right off the dock! That is what this site is all about, people helping people!

I was recently emailing another member and made a comment that I had been a member since way back in the beginning. Then I got to thinking; when did it really start? As far back as I can remember I think I must have first found the site back around 1998 or 1999. I know we moved here in 2001 from Milton and I had been a member for at least a year or so at that point. Roy, T.J.? Anyone?

ask Paul what he thinks of them! He dropped mine in the water just to see what the action was like and wham LOL. I think his parting words were "guess I'm going to have to go shopping again" LOL.. BTW, Captpierre was the person that gave me my first one Many thanks again!

There is always room in our lives for a bit of humor, it's much better than sarcasm!

That could be interesting Dan, I think I'd really like to talk to some people that have done this and see what their experience was like. I did go to the site for a bit but I couldn't find any reviews from people that had actually stayed at some of the homes. I'll go back and have a second look when I get a bit more time.

Already looked into the health care, as long as we are in Canada we wouldn't have a problem because we would be dividing our time between the East Coast in the Spring and summers, the West Coast in the winters, and plenty of time in Ontario in between. We wouldn't go into the US (other than just passing through) because the health insurance for Sue is just too high.

Oh I might do a little puttering here and there just to help out where I can, but I'd be happy to stop by for a cold one

Ya, lots to think about, that's why I thought I'd throw the question up on here and get some feedback. Diesel would be a must regardless of which mode of transportation we chose. We are thinking something in the 32 to 36' range, I'd want to be comfortable. West Arm; excellent points there, experience is the kind of feedback that will really help us. We realize that we wouldn't be able to do it forever, that is why we are thinking of doing it now while we still can. Hopefully for about the next five years then perhaps into a condo. Ernie, why such a huge loss, was it in bad shape when they did decide to sell it? I have just started looking at some used ones and they seem to hold their value fairly well (at least the better brands do anyway). Tender52; What size is there's and do they use it full time?

Got one done at MTO scales a few years ago, they looked at me kind of funny but did it for me anyway. Truck stop scales are usually certified, they will charge you $15.00 but you do get a certified print out. Scrap yards will usually do it for you for free or for a small fee.

Well, Sue and I have been talking "and thinking". We both had so much fun two years ago when we headed out to the East coast and just played nomad. Our place is getting to be too much for me to handle anymore, we love it here but..... So we have been thinking about going mobile, summers down East, winters out West and all points in between as the mood strikes us. The decusions right now is do we go with a fifth wheel or a motor home so I am looking for advice from people that have made the choice one way or the other and your opinions. The other thing that would be very helpful is makes and support. If you can reccomend a brand that you have experience with that sort of thing would be great too. Don't know if this is going to happen or not but it's worth looking into.

Sorry to hear about the incident but I'm sure glad to hear that everything worked out as well as it did for you!
