  1. Second from the right or the left? I keep forgetting which one it's supposed to be so it's 50/50. I tried it with 3 red rocks for a while but everyone always got it right
  2. Boy have you got attitude problems! I have several friends that are cops one of them going back 30+ years. I don't know a single one of them that gets up in the morning, gears up and heads out the door looking to generate revenue! If you can't stand behind them, try standing beside them for a day, you'll be amazed at the crap they have to tolerate in the line of duty.
  3. LOL, Ya, the oil I use is about $8.00/liter my cost, the other $17.00 covers my costs for shop supplies and replacing tools. I don't do it as a business, just to help friends and neighbors. Oh, and fishing off the dock..... well we'll have to do some negotiating on that one
  4. Yup, 313 Snug Harbour Rd. If you are later than 8 pm, just park it behind the garage and I'll have it done for you by Saturday morning. I have to be up by 3 am tomorrow so I'll be hitting the sack by 8.
  5. It always bothers me when I see posts turn negitive, I'm not a huge fan of all this government control and it's always in the name of "safety" or what's good for us! At 69, I think I have a pretty good idea of what is good for me and what isn't. We do have laws and we do have the police who's job it is to enforce those laws. They didn't make them, it isn't their job to interprate them, they just have to enforce them. I know there are some bad apples out there just as there is in any profession but 99% of them are good honest people just trying to do their job. They look at you or I and we don't come with a big sign that reads "good guys" or "bad guys", the only way they have of determining that is if they talk to us. So, cut our cops some slack, be polite and respectful to them and you will almost always find that you will get treated the same in return, at least that has been my experience.
  6. Bring it to Big Cliff! You are right, bad gas is probably the culpret and Sea Foam won't always fix it. Sounds like the jet is plugged in the carb, easy fix if you know what you are doing (I think I do ) Ditch shouldn't be much of a problem, those engines were built with an oil slinger in them, as long as you didn't run it out of oil it should be fine. Cost to repair: including sharpening and balancing the blade, changing the oil, cleaning the carb and fuel system. $25.00 including materials (for OFC people only). PM me if you want the address.
  7. Many, many encounters, never a problem. Nice to see Lew, so many people would want to kill it because they are afraid of them.
  8. Now I know why pork bellies are so expensive; they are in short supply Looks mighty fine BTW.
  9. And you are always good for a laugh my friend There had to have been 200 or 300 on our screen door this morning, seriously they were as thick as mosquitos! 15 minutes after fogging the yard there might have been 5 or 6 and I could walk from the house to the dock without getting swarmed. I fogged it again and now you'd be hard pressed to find 1 or 2 while sitting on the deck having a coffee.
  10. This is the worst year I have seen since we moved here in 2001, I finally went and bought a fogger and that seems to really help for a while.
  11. Same two guys I talked to yesterday were back again this morning, they had already caught two nice size fish and said they were in the money. A lot of boats in the Goose Bay area this morning, not seeing a lot of fish being caught though.
  12. Talked to a couple of guys fishing the tournament on Sturgeon today about noon, at that point they only had 2 and they were small.
  13. Don't knock it until youhave tried it! At almost 70 I have tried corn in a lot of different ways. Try what I suggested then tell me your way is better! You will be amazed
  14. Sorry, re thought that, not 60 seconds, more like 30 or less.
  15. Have the same engine on a Princecraft 164. Top speed about 32 mph, I never push mine past about 5000 rpm but it will go a little higher. On plane in under 30 seconds with one or two people in the boat, a bit longer with 4 people depending on where they are sitting. Excellent engine, quiet and fuel efficient. Bought mine new and baby it a bit but love it to pieces.
  16. Same reason they don't pay politicians based on preformance, they couldn't live on it!
  17. Boy that looks good! Next time you are doing corn on the grill; husk it, toss it in a bag with a bit of olive oil (not the extra virgin stuff) just to give it a light coat of oil then grill it (takes about as long as doing a burger) turn it every minute or two. The sugar in the corn will start to caramilize and some of the kernals might get slightly black but OMG is it ever good.
  18. You aren't alone, I have talked to quite a few locals that tell me the bite on Sturgeon this year is MUCH slower than normal. Most of them feel that the super low water levels have really played havic with the walley and I have had a few tell me the crappie bite was very different and in some cases they just weren't where they would usually be, again because of water levels.
  19. Glad to hear that the dog is ok but don't count on it learning a lesson, many dogs would now want to settle the score especially if they are the alpha dog in the house! Just keep an eye on it for a few days and make sure it doesn't try to get back in there.
  20. Yes Please That one too Will give it a try tomorrow.
  21. I am in search of the perfect vinaigrette salad dressing. Several years ago when Sue and I were on a cruse I didn't like any of the offerings on the menu so I asked the waiter if the chef had a decent vinaigrette, he just smiled and brought some out for me to try; it was awesome! So good in fact that I had a tossed salad with the viniagrette dressing every night and so did most of the people at our table. I did ask for the recipe but never did get it. I have tried many and made many but none quite as good. So if you happen to have a special super vinaigrette would you please share it.
  22. What a way to start a day! A culinary delight as beautiful as a sunrise
  23. Well my friend as I see it, you have done everything you can do to try to take care of them! Now sit back, respect their wishes, and make the best you can out of the time they do have left.
  24. YES, YES, YES!!!!!
  25. As usual, a day late and a dollar short but a very happy birthday to you anyway beautiful.
