I have not read the book yet but from experience, Jim spent a whole day and many dinners listening to our plans (Greg - roaring dan seavey) and refining and helping us on our Lake of the woods trip. We spend a great day with him and he is really down to earth and good guy. I think all of us try to make sure if we are in sales to plug our business so a little product placement is always going to happen. We talked about different lures et al and he had no issue with us fising handlebarz but i must say I do fish with a sling and revo winch which was the same. I have the book coming for christmas as well. As always Dan gives a good explanation of our weekend, window is very small and we certainly caught our share. Key when you find one keep going back until they eat, we targeted one for instance three days in a row and got her at 3:30 today - finally. Technique was downsize not like previous years,where we were throwing pounders. Not sure I would throw suicks we were throwing hose baits a few weeks ago and they seem to lose their karma and we moved to fall baits

Roaring Dan and Dax have it - cut the hooks on the lure and in the fish and Put your reel in freespool - take a few breaths and release the fish. Roaring Dan as greatest Net man I know should be listened too. Pigeon is tough if you find a deep weed bank dont get stuck like a bass fisherman and go to shore and fish the structure you see, they will be in the weeds or edge

LOTW - what can you say - great story and epic fish, tough when ultimately your partner is as important to get the giant not sure who should get all the credit - I count the days to next year Great report I have to ask was it an oprah?

Thanks Craig I am counting days to next year, also days in fall with our special bait! Greg and I learnt a great deal and we never really have acknowledged the great accomplishments, Mike Parkers Lures were outstanding handlebarzmuskylures.com and we also bought back a modification which Mike will do for us (Mods I hope its OK I posted this here). we had an outstanding time, here are some other great memories. Greg and I also got all prizes available! Without my partner and great logic we would never have seen or caught as many!

Got to the sonar page only (no split screen) and hit menu. That will give you a drop down and one of the choices will be pallet color. You can change the colors here and there are about a dozen combinations. The font size can be changed but not the style. Hit "pages" and on the main screen with Nothing but the screen pages showing hit menu and that will but you into the overlay options and you can move, change size of text and remove captions which will make it a smaller foot print still

The passion continues and was lucky to get out to a Kawartha lake with Taro on Monday an awesome guide and great mentor. Anyone who even thought about fishing Monday should think about the wind, it was a tough day. We headed out at about two and fished until about seven thirty after an excellent lunch I fished with my friend Dave and he set us off with a nice small guy in about ten feet of water wind side of weed hump We kept fishing an as usual instead of musky these pesky big walleye keep eating my lures After another hour I finally hooked and caught a monster the picture doesnt do it justice measure 47 and was really fat take a look at it walleye eating gut - i should have taken photo and made it look like a monster! I would say the heaviest fish I have caught. Came out a smashed my bait on wind side of some rocks. Maybe they are setting up for summer We then went and fished for bass on senkos never had an opportunity to do this before and had a really good time. Might even think about doing this a little! was awesome fun

Only lure I had was a large black and orange spinner bait Thats awesome - congrats - I think Mike P chipped in above he will become your new best friend. It has been great to see just the numbers of smaller muskie around this year, must have been a great year class a couple of years ago, we also have been catching many in the 32-34 size.

This is issue emotive, I think we should be charged a fee and I will happily become someones enemy. Canada has it great, on the trent we live on the money paid by previous generation and yes we pay taxes but infrastructure away from the lake is crumbling or at least it is in the kawarthas. The problem I have is what is the fee going to be and then the annual rachet once its in vs affluent lakes with zero - if its consolidated reveneue I have an issue, if its as some say here to improve opportunity for all to share great, build ramps even better, make my kids get what we have - i will pay it now. The biggest issue is the small local gov need to consolidate and no fee will be required, just look at the number at the meeting today consolidate and eliminate the duplication
