  1. Take a Look at Lunge Lodge Nippissing....just took my wife and family - Scott and Tiffany have done a good job fixing it up - great place and we had a great time.
  2. Pete delivers again looks like a great day......no trampoline photo what happened
  3. big bald lake is not as bad as earlier in the week, but similar to last year level. lets hope they don't just drop it like last year as it went to winter level again.
  4. Great Video Thanks for sharing
  5. I think fisherpete LOTW 2015 was awesome as it bought fish back to the site instead of loads of other topics.
  6. Personally I think there are multiple pattern and trolling is tough in the fall its always hit or miss. I like to fish Pigeon slowly and I make myself slow down with a shallow pounder or a very large tube - I don't think multiple tail baits work but that's personal opinion. I fish it like a suick strange I know but works very well. I think taits bay and into Noggies gives you a chance to explore all the deep to shallow. Just start a drift and keep casting. When you find one repeat. The bite window is also very small, sometimes we fish all day and get three in twenty minutes that's it right where we have fished all day. I see guys trolling all summer fall and later and I am just throwing rubber, its consistent and normally draws out a big fish eventually. I also like where docks were pulled up I will spend hours just going dock to dock where they are now pulled up. Let me know some other patterns people think
  7. Pete is a great guy and works hard at musky fishing, he gets so many great looking fish and giants!
  8. thanks Mitch perfect
  9. Yes milkweed is on land but this is where the adult moths for the worm will feed. More milkweed better survival and so on
  10. Fishing this week - if anyone has a map that is in PDF please PM me, don't want spots just a map. If anyone is fishing musky and wants to trade information on kawartha happy to have a discussion. Thanks
  11. I do no want to get into legality - simple answer is plant milkweed - it good for all sorts of butterflies and worms. You will find what kills wild rice is two items, one is that not cultivated well the debris from previous years will destroy future crops and yield the second is wild rice worm. Everyone who has cottages should plant milkweed wont solve the problem but can help contain.
  12. Given the slow start and not overly warm temperatures I would not ignore the deeper water - it is very likely that weed growth is behind, if your chasing musky and want a chance at a trophy I would take the approach of absolutely fishing weeds and positioning boat to just get to them - I would then do the same path and cast outward. I think the later could be the key - also look for the bait school and throw depth raider of same size maybe six or nine inch - trolling wont be random to induce a strike, good luck and post your trip efforts!
  13. Wont be the same Roaring Dan, who is going to net my first of the year, I have Keanu Reeves (AKA Mike) acting as the replacement. In terms of baits I will be throwing something that is Purple, likely a custom made Anvil bait which is awesome.
  14. Mike just got the boat back yes 3 blde 12P - I actually have the 11 as well
  15. menu - Chart options - turn on fishnchips - Pigeon should be detailed.
  16. I think Restoule is not simple doesn't have GPS but has some nice ones for sure if you don't know where the rocks are can be pretty difficult. If I had one choice there is no doubt where I would head for the opener - Cameron Lake/Pigeon lake or Lower Buckhorn - find a hump start casting a tube that's it - then find a weed edge and cast there, eventually you would connect. Fan of Red October but they all work great two colours black and black Have fun and have release tools
  17. Guys will be away one of my favourite shows of the year, going to be great wish I could make it. Will have to have my own one when I get back to find out all the new stories! Luke is pretty disappointed for sure. Hopefully can post a couple of big muskies I catch in missing out on this show
  18. Take a look at musky first often the rods you will want 86 minimum my opinion will come up - don't go any shorter - I like the big nasty and sling blade I have winch on sling and tranx on nasty.
  19. We stay at Bill Sandy Blackhawk Camp but we play scatter and drive all over the place love the traqual and north passage areas we could meet at wiley point PM me if you didn't see saric show you missed out on me netting his fish and catching one myself a few weeks ago!
  20. Year one at Lake of the woods if I could start all over heres what I would have Big Nasty Revo Toro Winch 60/61 150 PLB mono leader Handlebarz LoTW Special (just ask Mike to make one) - plus Silver Black and chartreuse Black (3 colours) Oriellys glide baits - catches a few but finds all the ones for the baits above (two colours) Gold with orange and black with orange Hosebait What dax said - knipex, Big kahuna, pliers, Camera and no one mentioned loads of sunscreen/lip stuff. You will get one greater that 40 for sure - and listen to Fisherpete he did the guide trip with Andrew there last year and slayed them have a great time we will be there in July again come have a beer
  21. What a great adventure, Michigan worst food on record, couple of beers and out early. Reels freezing so have to heat them and change. To watch Craig stop dead setting the hooks on the brute was awesome. To see Greg (Roaring Dan), Luke (46 inch), Tim and Craig get PB this year and to see 12 musky over fifty inches was amazing. You didn't mention that I got stranded on 107 two years in a row - exactly the same number of musky. I have never liked Pike but a 43 incher late on the finally day made me mad. See you tomorrow mate and was a great day and hope to see Greg and you more next year so much happening in both your lives.
  22. Mag Black Bulldawg
  23. Pete great season you are officially the Musky Whisperer - look forward to you netting a giant for me this year.
  24. Lake Taupo and Tongariro nothing - will beat this ever unbelievable
  25. Hey Greg those waypoints and trails are worth more than anything I own for fishing took seven years to get the database and countless scouting hours not even fishing. They will not go with my boat when I put it up - what a great three years I have had with it.
