  1. Yep, just go to Napa and pick one of the cheapies up.
  2. It will probably cost her $25K+ over the next 5 years if she wants to drive. If she even has her full license yet. She may not have one shortly.
  3. Maybe they should add one here.
  4. :thumbsup_anim:
  5. OK the pitchers are back. Eddie you owe me three bucks!!! :tease:
  6. Sweet huh Bill. Alright Mike I upgraded for one month. Eddie owes me $3. Probably take a while to apply it though.
  7. That would be because they are all in my photobucket acct. Mike. I am not going to upgrade to pro though as this is the first time I have ever exceeded my monthly bandwidth.
  8. I bought my 18' Fisher brand new 20 years ago and it's still going strong. They are nicely constructed boats (I've had mine completely apart for new paint and carpeting)
  9. Nice!!! Now I'm hungry for walleye/taters and beans. Nice little boat too. How do you like your Fisher?
  10. Got the mini boat out for it's maiden voyage today and all went well. She's got a minor water leak that I need to find and repair and the motor is going to need a hydrofoil to help get the stern higher in the water, but other than that all went very well. It's perfect for one, but I don't know if it will be big enough to fish two out of. I'll have to try it out and see. The boating was ok but the fishing sucked today. Could have had something to do with the high winds and water temps in the mid to high 30's. I had a couple of pictures of her, but Solopaddlers pike post has blown my photobucket bandwidth it seems. <_<
  11. If you want a bullet proof aluminum boat you won't be able to beat a Hewescraft IMHO. They are everywhere out West and on the coast. They make everything from small lake and river boats to large ocean boats. Here are their small 16 to 20 footers. Hewescraft
  12. I had a fella back in Ft. Smith that used to come in every other month or so to have his laptops keyboard replaced for the very same reason. :rofl2: Get yourself a USB keyboard to tide you over when this happens.
  13. XM Canada actually has a bunch of NHL channels but Sirius is lacking in this area but Sirius has NASCAR and XM doesn't. Also XM doesn't work worth beans this far North (Yellowknife) due to their bird being lower in the sky. I had an XM radio in Ontario but got rid of it when I found out that they suck up here.
  14. Headdin' straight for my folks place. Hope they got the hatches battened down.
  15. He was waiting on me to edit the pics. I have carpal tunnel now. Video to come soon. Please stand by.
  16. Sounds like the plugs are just loading up a bit is all. No biggy. Rev the engine a bit in neutral before you take off to clear the plugs and see if the hesitation is still there. If it is have the dealer look at it (could be a timing or fuel issue).
  17. Twas a great trip in spite of the weather Mike. Nothing like a little 30 hour journey to get there from Yellowknife. I tweaked my right shoulder early on in the trip and am still suffering from it. It only slowed me down one day though as I worked through the pain to slay a few gators on the fly. It was cool to get some walleye on the fly too. That was a first for me. :good: You forgot to mention that on one day the temps never got above freezing and we had to deal with sleet/snow and freezing guides the entire time. It didn't stop the fun though.
  18. Great Report!!!! It was nice running into y'all in Nakina. I still can't believe you didn't beleive me when I said it was a dry camp and you were to leave your adult libations behind.
  19. Dan Talk with the Ledgend people and see if they will put a 4 stroke 150HP on it. They are pretty easy to deal with. I bought my boat off them in '91 and had them change a few things and had no issues.
  20. Don't forget about the lower reaches of the local rivers (Credit, Bronte etc.) lots of good fishing and nicely protected.
  21. Definately!!!! Everything I own has synthetic oils in it now. I run synthetic 2 stoke oil in my chainsaw, out boards and ice auger and Mobile one in my 4 stoke motors (truck and snow blower). You can run longer between oil changes and there is less cold start up wear with synthetics. I leased Honda Civics from the mid 90's to the mid 2000's (went through 3 of them) & the first couple I ran regular oil at regular change intervals and at about 150,000 km they would develop a slight tick at startup when cold. I changed to synthetic with my last one and the dreaded tick never showed even after 250,000 kms. I have been running synthetic ever since.
  22. Cabelas have a bunch of different models and fabrics to choose from.
  23. Dan I got a good deal on a second prop for my boat on ebay. You might want to have a look there first. You never know there might be one for you at a good price.
  24. I have a manual in PDF format at home. I'll try and dig it up tonight.
