    Only problem is it still runs on propane and propane will not vaporize @ -40 it stay liquid and there is next to no pressure in the tank. I have to heat my BBQ tank with a 1500 watt electric heater to cook dinner.

    Yeah, except my propane heater will not work at those temps because it is too cold for propane to vaporize.

    Ain't gonna happen today boys. She's a balmy -40 with -52 wind chill. Wind chill at sledding speed is absolute zero!!!! Tuesday looks to be the warm day @ -29, -35 wind chill.

    A week or so ago I ordered myself a new toy for Christmas. It came in to the store on Christmas Eve but I found out too late to go pick it up. I went in today to get it. I finally got myself one of them HD action cam thingies so I can get some kick donkey video and not worry about water and other nasty environmental stuff. Got a great deal online from the Source on this 1080 HD Extreme HD cam with all kinds of mounts, 2 batteries and micro HD card. It was on sale for $100 of @ only $129 so really couldn't go wrong. Now to figure out where to put mounts on my boats and sled.

    Since I'm on the other side of the country and living where we don't get "ice storms" now, this is the best I could do for an ice storm photo. Yep, it's a nice big glass of rum with a little Coke for colouring.

    Got Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors on my SUV. Good all around tire, good on ice, snow, sand haven't been in bad mud though. They are pretty quiet on the highway too. They are a little on the soft side and tend to wear a little fast on our roads here in Yellowknife but I liked them enough to buy a second set. The highways department is also using them on their work vehicles here. Unless you are doing a lot of heavy hauling or towing stay away from the E rated version as I hear the ride is pretty poor compared to the lighter versions. The Toyo AT's are also highly recommended by my local tire guy. Quite a bit more $$$$ though.

    We are down on snow here this year and as I had replaced a ski and installed new ($200) carbides at the end of the season I wanted to wait until there was a decent base so as not to prematurely shorten the life of the new stuff. The trails are still pretty rough and could use more snow but I have seen them worse. Went out for a short 2 hour shakedown cruise to make sure all is good and to let my sledding muscles remember what to do. It usually takes me a couple of rides to get back into riding shape. Took a couple of pics while out on the big lake. We are supposed to get some snow tonight and tomorrow and ahead of the front we got a kick donkey sun dog.

    Here's my little beater sled. 1987 Skidoo Citation 250. It's going to get a nice restoration job during the off season. Nice and light compared to my big 1000cc Yamaha.

    The new hobby begins!!!! It will be even better when I head South on vacation in the new year. I will get to pick up my molasses way cheaper at the coop in Alberta. The $$$$ I spent on the little 675ml packages in the photo will buy me a 20kg pail at the coop.

    No freezing rain here. Just freezing temps!!! A balmy -36 right now with -45 wind chill. I'll take this over an ice storm thank you very much.
