  1. Give these guys a shot and see if they have bulk. Other electrical suppliers would be another place to look as the builders and electricians aren't buying them one at a time. http://www.torbramelectric.com/
  2. I do two fills per year for my tank. Between $800-$900 per fill. I think the current price is around $0.89/L. You don't seem to have it too bad.
  3. There's still Saturday against Peg. 3 out of 4 would be awesome. I bet they're gonna come out strong on Saturday.
  4. Cliff I get my travel insurance through Medipac. After a lot of research they were the cheapest. I paid under $100 for coverage for my upcoming 6 week trip to Florida. Mind you I'm under 55 and was able to use the top up option as I have PSCAC health coverage through work. Check them out. http://www.medipac.com/
  5. If you want the pinnacle of the fishing kayak world look at the Hobie Pro Angler models. My buddy has a PA 14 and it is an awesome fishing platform. There is also a 12' version. I'm actually planning on picking up a kayak next month and will go the conventional (read regular paddle type) but sit on top Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120 or 140 model. The Jackson Cuda 12 and 14 models are also top rated fishing kayaks. Which ever way you go longer is better. For handling bigger water as well as paddling speed.
  6. I have an 18' Fisher that maxes out at 115hp. I bought it new with a 90 2stroke and have just upgraded to a 115 4stroke. Performance and speed is pretty much the same between the motors. So if you're talking either a 90 or 115 4 stroke you should see a fair difference with the 115. As said both motors weigh the same so that is not an issue. If you notice that when you get your new toy out on the lake that there are any performance/handling issues stick a set of Smart Tabs on and you will be amazed at how well they work for so little money. http://www.nauticusinc.com/smart_tabsSX_automatic_trim_tabs.htm
  7. I'm still running my old Pioneer surface mount car speakers from the early 90's in my boat. They still work great even though they are about 20 years old and covered with rust. Heck, they weren't even new when I put them in. I was a car audio installer for many years and these were replaced for a customer through insurance because of an attempted theft which damaged the case on one.
  8. Basspro and Cabelas. Much better pricing. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Navigation?storeId=10151&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&searchTerm=carpet http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/browse/carpet/_/N-1100627/Ns-CATEGORY_SEQ_104254380?WTz_l=SBC%3Bcat104794380%3Bcat104711580
  9. Yep, and you can also tip em with a minner!!!
  10. Sure is a good place for big lakers in ON. Caught many over 20# there back in the day. When they used to stock them in the Ganny harbour in the 80's there was a great run in October with lots of fish over 24#'s to be caught. Biggest Ontario laker I ever caught was in the low to mid 30's off Pt. Credit during the summer after an offshore wind caused a good 45* upwelling just off shore.
  11. 4-5 inch is not too big for lakers. I have used dead baits to 20" for big lakers and have caught 20# fish on that sized bait. As for whities 2-2 1/2" shiners as mentioned. I use 3" frozen smelt (no live bait allowed here) and have even used them tipped on a jig and caught whities.
  12. If you are going to Argentina you may want to stay on dry land. http://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/articles/dozens-injured-in-carnivorous-fish-attack-in-argentina/19662/
  13. Those are prime breeders in my waters.
  14. 4 players ejected from each team!! LOL Lots of room on the benches now.
  15. HAHAHA, Torts is ready to jump into the Flames bench and get med evil on em!!! 2 seconds into the game and 50 minutes of penalties handed out with both starting lines in the box. Looks like a few ejections too.
