  1. Mostly. Would need a little place in Alaska and BC but the rest would be in tropical places where the fishing is insane.
  2. If I were to guess it will be somewhere between lots and tons. No where near a ship load though. Getting the motor replaced costs that!!!
  3. You don't need a stainless prop so save your $$$ there. If your current 3 blade prop gets your machine up near it's red line then pick up one of these https://www.mercurymarine.com/en/ca/propellers/elite-series/spitfire/ with the same pitch as your 3 blade. You will still attain the same WOT RPMs and will gain on hole shot and fuel mileage. You "may" lose up to 1 MPH on top speed but the drop in time to plane and cornering as well as the better range more than make up for the loss of 1 MPH. I noticed a huge improvement when I went from 3 to 4 blade aluminum and less so from 4 blade aluminium to 5 blade stainless on my boat. Still working on the set up with my 5 blade so will be going back to the 4 blade while the 5 gets tweaked @ the prop guys place. The cost difference between the 3 or 4 blade aluminium and any stainless prop is huge. You can buy 3 or 4 aluminium props for the cost of my 5 blade stainless prop. The aluminium props can be had for under $200. I think I paid $120US for my 4 blade in Florida. I should also mention that getting aluminium props repaired is a lot less $$$$ than stainless. About 1/3 the cost for repair work at Citywide Welding in Mississauga. Best prop shop anywhere as far as I'm concerned.
  4. I would need to buy some more boats and houses in exotic fishing locales.
  5. The skeg cover is new this year. I got the high 5 last year.
  6. YUP!! I was wearing my waders @ the time though. The water is already pretty warm though @ 52*F.
  7. Finally made it back to the lake. Had to do a little work on the truck and boat yesterday. Put a little more bling on the Merc. Got the new dock section framing done and the dock installed. Will install the decking next weekend. The good news is the lake is up about 2 feet from last fall. Last years shoreline dock mounts are now under a foot of water. Tons of water under the dock now with it 16 feet further out. There's close to 7 feet at the end of the dock and it is chest deep at the back end.
  8. By putting a set of smart tabs on it you will be able to get the back end to lift faster and hopefully pop up on plane faster. A 4 blade prop will also help getting out of the hole and up on plane more quickly. It does sound like your boat is pretty maxed out weight wise with 3 in the boat.
  9. First a question: what do your RPM's max out at while running? You need to prop so you get close to max RPM to be running most efficiently. As stated check your motor height. Generally you want the cav plate to be level to 1" below the bottom of the boat. I have a couple of suggestions for after you check out motor height and WOT RPM. 1/ ditch the hydrofoil and replace with a pair of Smart Tabs. 2/Change out your 3 blade prop for a 4 blade.
  10. This one was caught in a tiny little lake here in town. Pretty hard to see exactly how big it is but look @ the head on this beast. It could swallow that kid whole!!!!
  11. I've finally found a fishing tournament series worth entering!!!
  12. Hard to say how old it is. It really depends on the lake. We have a lake in town that grows fish quickly because it's warm compared to the larger lakes around.
  13. Peggy made it in today's paper too.
  14. This article appeared in today's Yellowknife paper. Pretty good sized poike!!!
  15. No, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night!!!!! Luckily they are knocking down more TO buildings to build more condos so more people can live in an already overcrowded city. The Big Slice pizza spot on Yonge Street closes to make room for condos http://toronto.ctvnews.ca/the-big-slice-pizza-spot-on-yonge-street-closes-to-make-room-for-condos-1.2924443
  16. We have vast amounts of fuel for energy sitting in dumps across the world. We just need to substitute the coal in our coal fired plants to used tires!!!! There are giant stacks of old tires everywhere. Burn them to generate electricity!!! Do I have to think of everything?
  17. My freezer is filled with fish. I have bags of ciscoes, black rock fish, Pacific Ling Cod, Halibut.
  18. The GC site is always late to the party. You will probably find that in the next couple of days they will up the chance of rain significantly. I have 4 sites bookmarked that I check to make my decisions on whether I go or not. I will look at all 4 sites and take the consensus as to what the weather is going to be like. This usually works quite well for me. Last Monday I knew what this weekends weather was going to be and it was bang on. My go to for daily weather is: http://www.theweathernetwork.com/ #2: http://weather.gc.ca/ #3: http://www.accuweather.com/ #4: http://www.yr.no/ A couple more weather related sites I use. http://www.lightningmaps.org/#m=sat;r=0;t=3;s=0;o=0;n=0; I do a lot of virtual storm chasing. http://stormtrack.org/community/pages/RadarScope/ http://severestudios.com/
