  1. Should be about 14.2 volts running.
  2. Just get some 3M 5200 or Sikaflex Marine Sealant and seal em up. No biggy. Make sure to seal outer and inner. Loosen bolt, pull it out and put some 5200 on the shank and slide it back in. put a bead around the bolt on the inside, reinstall the washer and nut and torque to about 50 FT LBs. Done!!
  3. This thing will keep my halibut frozen on the trip back from Alaska no problem. Pretty sure I can jam at least $600 worth of yummy halibut in there frozen and it will still be completely frozen solid when I get home a few days later. So far after 1/2 a day the ice hasn't even started to think of melting yet.
  4. Went out and got me a new cooler today. Needed something that would keep ice longer than my Coleman Extreme Marine cooler. These high end Engels are supposed to be good. Supposed to be bear proof as well. They claim they will keep ice 10 days. They better be for the price I paid for it!!!! Luckily it was their "Every Day Low Price". Total out the door was $545!!!!
  5. Ran in to town today for supplies and when I came back the water bombers were working on a lightning caused fire from last nights storm. The fire was 1.5-2 miles NE of my place. But there is a hydro dam between me and the fire so they tend to work pretty hard and fast on fires around me. Don't know if this will work but I took video of the water bombers. They had a spotter plane working with them as well as a couple of choppers (may be bringing in ground crews). I also changed the privacy settings on last nights video so hopefully it works too.
  6. Got some rain this evening. Real hard rain with hail!!!! We don't get that too often in these parts. The lake looked a little sporty!!! I figure the wids were gusting 60-70 as the storm rolled in. Video of the torrential rain and hail. https://www.facebook.com/dave.orr.35/videos/1470663199626681/ It seems my roof tarps were not up to the task. Guess I'll have to do something about that this week.
  7. Pretty much finished with the interior framing except for stairs and closets. Going to start working on the South deck and porch roof next week. Looking from beside closet under the stairs. Wall and doorway roughed in for the inside portion of the arctic entry. Looking out from the back corner of the utility room. Looking from the entry door through the inside doorway of arctic entry. Looking into the washroom through the doorway.
  8. One of the neatest shows I have been to was in a gravel parking lot in Barbados. Tiger a DJ from Jamaica was doing a gig and my buddies and I watched it from a roof top next door. We had the chairs out and de rum was flowin' maaaan!!!
  9. Both Max Webster and Goddo played my high school.
  10. Got the last bedroom wall studed out as well as the front wall of the washroom and utility room. Right door opening (closet under stairs) Middle (master bedrrom) Left (washroom). Utilityroom, washroom front wall looking towards the entry door. Doorway right (washroom), right utility room. Two more dividing walls need to go in the washroom to separate it from the utility room. Started disassembling last years screen house as well. Had to do a lot of resting as it was pretty darned warm here.
  11. Yep, it's all you need.
  12. Seems they had a hail storm.
  13. Forgot about that one. July 1992. I was at that show as well. It was a dandy!!!!
  14. So while working at the cabin my ipod is getting a good workout. I was thinking today while listening to my Rush collection about concerts back in the day and I realized my first real concert that I attended was to see Rush in 1981 @ Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto during their Moving Pictures tour. T'was a good gig. I have seen well over 1,000 shows while I have been on this planet and only a few really stand out to me. This first concert with Rush is big of course but there are a few more that have been really great shows. I got to see Springsteen at MLG as well and that dude puts on a hell of a show. He did a 2 hour set and took a 30 minute break and came out and did 2 more hours!!!! It was incredible that he and his crew go go that long and not drop dead!!! I remember looking around the packed arena and the whole crow were on their feet dancing the whole show!!! (y) (y) Number 3 on my list was Reggae Sunsplash @ Lamport Stadium in Toronto. Some of the top reggae performers were there and the show was awesome until..................The Storm came!!! Right in the middle of Eek A Mouse's set the sky unleashed but we didn't care just kept on jammin' until................ The sound equipment started shorting out due to the deluge so they shut it down a couple of acts early. Even though I was soaked to the bone it was a good show. Number 4 on my list was when I was working @ Super Stars Night Club in Mississauga in the early 90's. I got the chance to see a ton of great bands, performers and comedians there but by far my favorite show was The B52's!!! Damn they are the epitome of party bands. You can not go to one of their shows and not have a fantastic time. The whole club was electric and 3,500 revelers did all 16 dances!!!! Any body else remember their first concert? Any really memorable shows?
  15. Been hard at it the last little while. Early in the day before it gets too hot have been working on the outside getting sheathing properly installed and covered with Tyvek. Then once it gets too hot I duck inside and work on framing. Got the loft floor joists all in except the two nearest the entry door as I need to re-frame for my new bigger door. Back wall of the kitchen, front wall and door frame for the master bedroom and doorway to the storage area under the stairs are all built. got a few more walls to go but should be done by tomorrow most likely.
  16. In 2013 I re-powered my machine. It was time to replace the 23 year old 90 HP Merc 2 stroke with a new 115 HP Merc 4 stroke. I wasn't replacing it because I had to, I was replacing it because I wanted a new fuel efficient 4 stroke. In fact I sold my old engine to a fella in one of the communities North of here and he is running it on his boat. Got a good buck for it too. Mind you it was sold with controls and cables, 2 props, specialty tools and repair manual plus even used outboards tend to hold their value well here. Love my new 4 stroke and it is paired with Smartcraft gauges which are awesome.
  17. Not rude, just delusional like a Hillary Clinton supporter!!!
  18. 5 Reasons!!! http://www2.tsn.ca/bardown/Story.aspx?5+reasons+Steven+Stamkos+is+signing+with+the+Leafs&id=583351
  19. It's official, Saturday nights just got a whole lot better!!! http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/ron-maclean-hockey-night-in-canada-1.3654579
  20. The vacation and the work has started. Due to unfinished stuff @ home I was a day and a half late setting off to the cabin. All was not lost though as Mr B told me the launch and parking area was a gong show on Tuesday due to the Aboriginal Day holiday. The lot was full and they were even having to park on the road!! Wednesday though all was peaceful at the ramp with only 4 vehicles in the lot when I got there at lunch. Got a couple of my windows installed. The view out of my bedroom doesn't suck. Been working on skitter proofing the eves and even threw up some rafter vents.
  21. Unbelievable hey? Never saw that coming.
  22. Looks like the Canucks are going after Suban.
